You will notice in the link that the decision was made after consulting with counterparts at Duke and State, where such crass and offensive displays were banished sometime back. I guess that makes the decision

Displaying one particular religion's symbols is antithetical to that philosophy, she said.

Bubba see my post on the owner of the Vineyard who sent his servants to check over the harvest and finally sent his son who he thought for sure would not be rejected. Looks like the folks at our institutions of "higher" learning need some good basic teaching of what this season is all about.
