....quibbles about my use of the phrase "the Puppetmasters of Jihadistan". Here David Frum descrbes why my phrase is an accurate description.
Noteworthy excerpt:
"To achieve this positive result, however, Israel must be allowed to finish the job. Israel must be allowed to shatter Hezbollah as a military force and put an end to its state-within-a-state in southern Lebanon."
Hezbollah is to Iran as the IRA is to Sinn Fein.
In this case, yes. There are others.
ReplyDeleteIran has significant influence on the anti-Jew forces of both Syria and Hezbollah. It provides funding, weapons, and logistics support.
ReplyDeleteIran wants the extermination of Jews, which is also the goal of Hezbollah and Hamas.
Puppetmaster is an appropriate term.
I'm more curious about your definition of the "blogging elite." It seems to apply to one who can articulate an original thought in writting, but maybe I'm wrong and you'll explain it to us.
ReplyDelete"It seems to apply to one who can articulate an original thought in writting, but maybe I'm wrong and you'll explain it to us."
ReplyDeleteReally, roch? Please share with us how you arrived at that stunning conclusion from the words I used.
On the other hand, perhaps I shouldn't be suprised at reading those words from someone who has no problem imagining/inventing "Constitutional Rights" out of the thin air of a political/social/econmic agenda.
Like I said, Bubba, I could be wrong and maybe you'll explain to us just what you mean by the local "blogger elite"... But if it's too much trouble, don't worry about it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a code. John Kerry and Al Gore were Elites. GWB was folksy. Elitists eat brie. They use book-learnin'. They worry about spelling, punctuation and grammer. They talk about nuance.
ReplyDeleteThat isn't what the right-wing propagandists are. The eat meat. They invade because they can. The rest of the world is peopled with idiots, weaklings and tiresome peasants. Nuance-shmuance.
Challenge these guys. We have taken the high road for way too long. I'm not going to stand for the Carl Roveing of the english language anymore.
"We have taken the high road for way too long."
ReplyDeleteBut you have obviously failed to get treatment for your political delusions.
Come back when you're better.
By the way, it's "Karl" not "Carl".
...."writting"? and "articulate" used in the same sentence by Roch?
ReplyDeleteYour "Elite" Card might get pulled for that one, Roch.
I prefer to call them the LGBBC- Liberal Greensboro Blogging Buddy Club. I was inspired by Rush's NAALCP. With few exceptions, they make up their own rules of etiquette, refuse to comment on conservative sites, love to gang up, and cannot help but be insulting.
ReplyDeleteWhen one of their own posts a moronic or insulting article, ("Bush said shit" or "Republican God") they are silent as the grave. If a conservative makes the slightest error- even if its not relevant to his point, they go bananas.
Potato Stew and Roch (though he gets really pissed)are notable exceptions.
Good description. But please. Stew and Roch are charter members of that club.
ReplyDeleteIt smarts when you're on the receiving end, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteClever. But perhaps, based on past experience, those posting anonymously have good reason to insulate?
ReplyDeletePerhaps they are not in the mood for the gang-lovin today.
