Obama releases terrorists who murdered HUNDREDS of American troops

And yet the Iranian regime who spawned these murdering thugs continues to facilitate terrorist operations in Iraq:

I think they will continue to do that because they are also concerned, in my opinion, [about] where Iraq is headed. They want to try to gain influence here, and they will continue to do that. I think many of the attacks in Baghdad are from individuals that have been, in fact, funded or trained by the Iranians.' "

You have recently received an Open Letter from the Woods Hole Research Center, exhorting you to act quickly to avoid global disaster. The letter purports to be from independent scientists, but that Center is the former den of the President's science advisor, John Holdren, and is far from independent. This is the same science advisor who has given us predictions of “almost certain” thermonuclear war or eco-catastrophe by the year 2000, and many other forecasts of doom that somehow never seem to arrive on time.

The facts are:

The sky is not falling; the Earth has been cooling for ten years, without help. The present cooling was NOT predicted by the alarmists' computer models, and has come as an embarrassment to them.

The finest meteorologists in the world cannot predict the weather two weeks in advance, let alone the climate for the rest of the century. Can Al Gore? Can John Holdren? We are flooded with claims that the evidence is clear, that the debate is closed, that we must act immediately, etc, but in fact

THERE IS NO SUCH EVIDENCE; IT DOESN'T EXIST.

The proposed legislation would cripple the US economy, putting us at a disadvantage compared to our competitors. For such drastic action, it is only prudent to demand genuine proof that it is needed, not just computer projections, and not false claims about the state of the science.

SCIENCE IS GUIDED BY PROOF, NOT CONSENSUS

Finally, climate alarmism pays well. Alarmists are rolling in wealth from the billions of dollars floating around for the taking, and being taken. It is always instructive to follow the money.

Predictable pandering and posturing on Obamacare

How to pay for the abominable Obamacare: A surcharge on the rich, a surcharge on business (mostly small business), and a reduction of Medicare expenses across the board.

Noteworthy:

"As discussed in the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, the surtax would apply to individuals with adjusted gross income of more than $200,000 and couples over $250,000, according to officials involved in the discussion. Most spoke on condition of anonymity because the talks were private.

In addition, key lawmakers are expected to call for a tax or fee equal to a percentage of a worker's salary on employers who do not offer health benefits.

Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., has said his committee needs to come up with $600 billion in new taxes to deliver on President Barack Obama's goal of sweeping changes to the nation's health care system to bring down costs and cover the 50 million uninsured. Hundreds of billions of dollars more would come from cuts to Medicare and Medicaid to pay for legislation expected to cost around $1 trillion over 10 years."

Why am I not surprised?

The "rich" and small businesses are easy targets for the "progressives' "pandering to their special interest groups.

Who wants to defend those "evil" rich people, who made it on the backs of the "oppressed"? And small business doesn't have the juice or the jive to defend itself, like corporate America does. Plus, the oldsters just need to deal with the fact that they're going to be required to turn themselves over to the Sleepshop gang for recycling at the Soylent Green factories when they reach the designated age.

Obama's staged Obamacare infomercial

No doubt about it.

This president makes good use of deception, smoke and mirrors, outright lies, and staged "town hall meetings" to try to make you believe that all the Hope 'n Change is good for you.

Noteworthy:

"Obama dismisses the idea that he wants government to take over health care as a mere 'scare tactic.' In reality, Obama has previously said he was a proponent of a single-payer system and he maintains that it would be the ideal system if we were starting from scratch.

The facts say otherwise, both in the description of "pretty well", and in the often spouted "lower administrative costs and bureaucracy", which are lies that the universal health drum-banging clowns want you to believe.

Here's ANOTHER little hidden gem in 'Cap 'n Trade'

You the homeowner may likely be required to retrofit your home to fit some yet to be determined "green" standards before you sell it.

Noteworthy:

"Even though Congress says the states are responsible for carrying out the retrofits, the EPA and the Department of Energy will establish the guidelines and rules for doing so.

'The Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary of Energy, shall establish goals, guidelines, practices, and standards for accomplishing the purpose stated in subsection (c) [the retrofits],' the bill says.

The program would involve a system of certified auditors, inspectors, and raters who inspect homes and businesses using devices such as infrared cameras (which measure how much heat a building is giving off) to measure their energy efficiency.

The results of these energy audits would then be used to determine what retrofits need to be performed. The audits would examine things like water usage, infrared photography, and pressurized testing to determine the efficiency of door and window seals, and indoor air quality.

Those retrofits would be performed by licensed retrofit contractors using government-approved methods and resources including roofing materials that reflect solar energy.

'[B]uilding retrofits conducted pursuant to a REEP program utilize, especially in all air-conditioned buildings, roofing materials with high solar energy reflectance,' the legislation states.

After the retrofitting is complete, the government – state, local, or federal – will come back and re-inspect the house to determine how much energy has been saved and whether the retrofit is up to federal government standards."

One of the commenters nails it:

"Let me guess, just like Obama's executive order regarding Federally funded projects, only Union contractors will be allowed to refit our homes. I think he is deliberately pushing our buttons to such a limit, that when we refuse to let Federal Inspectors into our homes to see if we have adequate insulation, and then he sends in Union Contractors who will overcharge ...obviously it would have to be prevailing rate...."
