A speech to the Democrat Convention

Here's the speech David Brooks wanted to give last week to the assembled Obamabots.

Noteworthy:

"We got to know Barack and Michelle Obama, two tall, thin, rich, beautiful people who don’t perspire, but who nonetheless feel compassion for their squatter and smellier fellow citizens. We know that Barack could have gone to a prestigious law firm, like his big donors in the luxury boxes, but he chose to put his ego aside to become a professional politician, president of the United States and redeemer of the human race. We heard about his time as a community organizer, the three most fulfilling months of his life.

We were thrilled by his speech in front of the Greek columns, which were conscientiously recycled from the concert, Yanni Live at the Acropolis.' We were honored by his pledge, that if elected president, he will serve at least four months before running for higher office. We were moved by his campaign slogan, 'Vote Obama: He’s better than you’ll ever be.'"

As much as our Dem/Lefty/"Progressive" bottom feeders would like to make this election all about Bush, McCain, and Palin, it is ultimately all about Obama, that most emptiest of empty suits.

And yet they tell you with a straight face that the election is "all about the issues".

Yeah, sure.

  1. Issues don't mean a thing when it comes right down to it but character of the individual who will be handling the issues when they arise is the real underlying issue in any election.

As it stands right now the empty suited messiah has no character worthy of election to the highest office in the land. His type of character is more in line with the character of those holding office in his home town of Chicago. The character of these folks is well known and history shows us the rest of the gangster type mentality involved in Chicago politics.
His handling of his former mentors shows his real underlying character . He is ready to throw anyone under the bus that may become a liablity to him and folks that includes this country as well. If one can not be trusted with friends how the heck do you trust them to treat you right.
Oh, the leftist will scream and rant but the truth is sharper than a two edged sword as shown by Gov. Palin last night and they will just have to apply some band aides and get over it. Bleeding for a while will also help remove the poisonous bile that has built up inside of them since 2000.
The Obamazombies will stick to their messiah until the bitter end and then he will thrown them under the bus as well but they won't even realize it.
We know those who have character for they bear the fruit of it. Obama is like the fig tree of the parable who only had leaves and no fruit. We know the end result of that tree. It can't happen too soon to the empty suit who bears no good fruit.

  2. Ticker,

I like the Fig Tree parable. Fits the community organizer like a glove, thus you must convict. ( Sorry that didn't rhyme )

    Bubba,

This Brooks column you posted was a gem but his next one sucked.

  3. Brooks has always been a fence sitter and writes the way he thinks the wind will be blowing. He is like a lot of politician, he is for it or against it before he is against it or for it but does so with out a lot of facts, just intellectualism and therein lies his problem. He lacks common sense and that can be seen in more than one of his statements on the idea that issues, regardless of what they are do not contain some kind of moral judgment and character before deciding the stand which one will take. Taxes have a moral question. Do you rob from Peter to pay Paul? Do you take from those who have earned more to give to those who have earned nothing? An intellectual socialist would say most certainly as Obama does. One with moral stand and character would say no but you do help those who have less to earn more but you do not enable them to remain poor b y giving them the keys to the lock box. Do you rob Peter to pay Paul? Obama says it is ok, a moral character would say stealing is wrong period. The take on that is leave SS alone and stop borrowing from it to pay for anything period. That is robbing Peter, me and you, to pay Paul (welfare programs come to mind such as Title IVa of the SS Act of 1971(or there abouts). It took money from SS funds to fund various social programs in Public Housing. I know since I was doing my graduate work and wrote a grant for a PHA to get that kind of funding. Now title IVa has evolved from just simple programs of the 70's to include a myriad of programs other than day care and such to even programs in DOC and Medicare. Title XX spun from it as well. So you can see how it goes. Yep, guilty as charged of robbing from Peter to pay Paul. It never ends once it starts.
