The Greatest Threats to Planet Earth

....are the Excess Environmentalists..

Noteworthy:

"For many, environmentalism is not a consequence of a love of nature so much as a justification of their hatred of much of mankind. 'Defenders of Wildlife' sounds so much better than 'misanthropes.'"

"
The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement” even has a website and a motto 'Live Long and Die Out.' Note the 'live long' part. None of these selfless people wants to deny themselves life -- just deny it to others."

In a rational society, why are these people even given ANY measure of toleration for their truly dangerous behavior?

  1. Many environmentalist groups, like all groups formed by men, are exactly as described in this article. Many others however are good and needed and do stop nasty things from happening to the Earth. Like an environmental groups may have saved the obscenity at Battleground and Old Battleground It is a shame to put them out out to dry because of a few bad. If we didn't have the "savers and stoppers" the ravagers would go wild. I wish I had an easy way to separate the good from the bad. Like: Red Cross---bad, Salvation Army---good, and so on.

I recently did a blog post on the ranchers out West wanting an open hunting season on the wolf. The ranchers had their way once and it led to the almost extinction of the wolf and the very unhealthy overwhelming growth of what became starving and diseased animals that the wolf normally hunts and thus keeps the population in control and healthy by weeding out the weak and ill. The ranchers are reimbursed for any livestock they lose to wolves, but just don't want to be bothered with the paperwork; it is easier to just kill off the wolf and to hell with the rest of the animal populations.

I don't know where the whole thing finds the middle ground Bubba, but I do know the greed of man usually runs the show. BB
