Slandering the troops: Business as usual

And this clown wants to run for President again?

Direct quote:

"You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don’t you get stuck in Iraq."

Unbelievable!

(hat tip:Blogs for Bush)

Update:

Here's the video.

  1. Who said Kerry was talking about the troops? I thought was talking about the Commander in Chief.

  2. John Kerry just bitch-slapped every American soldier serving our country in Iraq.
Another shining example of Kerry's (and the Dems) snobbish, elitist, looking-down-my-nose, condecending attitude towards "the little people."
Roch101, I doubt he was talking about President Bush seeing as Bush had better college grades than Kerry.
    Who's the dummy now?

    Whatever you say, Roch.

Everyone ELSE knows he was slime balling the troops. He's got a proven track record on that score in many other documented instances.

This is just business as usual. And people like you want to give him a pass.

How sad a state it is when our veterans are disrespected and slimed day in, day out by various stripes of people like Kerry!

Those who condone it are no better than the lowlifes themselves.

  4. John at Powerline has it right about how Kerry and his Lefty pals really think about the military.

    Excerpt:

"The stereotype of the poor, dumb soldier is firmly entrenched among liberals of the Vietnam era. We often see it repeated by younger liberals today, even though the stereotype has no application whatever to our current volunteer army, which is demonstrably equal, at least, to the civilian population in talent and accomplishment."

But not in the mind of a so-called "veteran" who has YET to give permission for ALL aspects of his military record to be examined.

For those who have followed the story, it's easy to understand why he might not want to do so though.

One can only speculate how the details of his original discharge would be very embarrassing to him if they were ever to be revealed publicly.

  7. Kerry meant EXACTLY what he said. There was no "joke" to it, no "words he left out", and he wasn't referring to the President.

    Excerpt:

"Even in his so-called apology the next day, Mr. Kerry could not bring himself to admit that he had made a mistake. It was not his fault that I might be offended; it is my fault because I "misinterpreted" what he said."

Yeah.... I guess we still don't understand his "nuances", right?
