"Exploiting the Dead"

is obviously now a part of the Dem's campaign playbook.

  1. if the american public can't handle even seeing a sanitized photo of coffins, maybe we really need not to be doing what we are. i guess i've been wondering why we haven't had more such coverage.

i read an article that a reporter had his computer set to make a pinging sound everytime the list of military dead rose. that might be the kind of reminder of how much our wars costs that we all need.

  2. I don't object to those images per se. In fact, they serve as a reminder of the seriousness of the difficult mission that is ahead of us.

However, I object strongly to the use of the images as just another campaign tool by the faction that will say or do anything, regardless of the cost to the nation and the people, to regain political power.

Their words and actions in this matter are just flat out repugnant.

  3. If it was only about the Death Tax, it wouldn't be as disturbing, Joe.

As I have stated several times before, I think the Democrats are setting themselves up for some political surprises in the next few national elections.

  4. The Dems have tried to exploit both dead American's and dead enemy combatants since this began.
Just look at CBS...they recount the life of a dead American soldier every night on the news..ostensibly to "honor" him, but it's just a transparent ploy to try and emotionalize people against the war.
