Perspective on the Ground Zero neighborhood mosque

Cliff May:

"The controversy over plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan has taken an odd twist.

On one side are those making arguments in opposition to the project, along with those who merely have
questions they would like answered so they can decide for themselves whether this project will honor the victims of 9/11, or mock them.

On the other side are those who support the project wholeheartedly and who respond to both arguments and questions by saying: Shut up."

Case in point.

Public pressure can stop this from being built at the particular location. Public pressure will force transparency on the source of money that funds the building of this mosque.

  2. Indeed.

There is no such thing as "separation of church and state" under Islam. Islam IS the state.

There is no such concept as "individual freedom", or "justice" under Islam.

"Submission" is expected, and Sharia decides all.

  3. Obama has now come out publicly supporting the effort by our enemies to build a mockery of our freedom near ground zero.

Obama is also hosting an official White House dinner to glorify Islam:

"Celebrations like iftar dinners "remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam's role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings," Obama wrote in a statement Wednesday."

Excuse me, but killing 3000 Americans on 9/11 has nothing to do with justice, progress, tolerance, or dignity.

  5. I live in NYC, and I can assure you. There is no such thing as "the Ground Zero neighborhood." There are lots of neighborhoods here, but that isn't one of them.

"Neighborhood" is an adjective describing "mosque", Ace.

That's the way this project has been described by several different enablers. Take up your argument with them.
