Who's REALLY "astroturfing" on the Obamacare issue?

What does his ad tell you?

There's plenty more where that comes from.

The outrage over the abuses and potential abuses in the obnoxious Obamacare legislation are real, substantial, and should be a cause of major concern for all who do not want to see the fabric of this nation rent asunder by the brazen rape and pillage of our liberties.

Unfortunately, there's a minority of people in this nation who aren't concerned about those things. All they're concerned with is ramrodding this thing thorough to fulfill certain worldview agenda items, and to extend the insidious influence and control of government over a major segment of our society.

It's one of many such items on their to do list. Let's make sure it gets stopped here and now.

  1. What does the ad tell us? Not much. There's nothing wrong with community mobilizing as long as its peaceful, rational, and open to discussion and debate. It's good for democracy, no matter which side is doing it, as long as it's civil and polite.

I'm sure we'll see more of it from conservatives. It could even be successful if they abandon the personal attacks, the top-down, authoritarian approach and the effort to shut down discussion and debate as evidenced by this memo from Freedom Works urging followers to "yell," "shout" "rattle him," burn congressmen in effigy:

  2. Yeah, all these hippies suddenly dislike their own tactics being used against them. Funny how when conservatives need to be heard they have to speak as if they are in a library and say please and thank you. When a leftist uses their tactics of shouting and yelling it is a noble and worthy thing to do. I guess now that the tables are turned they don't like the results.

Funny now that the results are showing up the leftists are saying keep your mouth shut. That is a sure sign they know they are losing. Too bad they are going to ram it through against the wishes of the majority. At least that will be the spark to ignite change in the leadership in 2010.

  3. Anonymous, my feeling is we let the looney tooners like the first poster here continue to rant, rave, babble, dribble, drool, and spew.

For them, the current little game is OVER.

They have ignored the sage advice of Abraham Lincoln:

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

That will never stop them from trying, however.

  5. So you guys are modeling your tactics on those of "hippies" of the sixties? It's been a long time since I've heard people referred to as hippies. Actually I understand hippies were pretty non-political. It was the "yippies" who were political and counter-cultural. So are you two on the forefront of a right-wing "yippies" movement? From the looks of that Thomas Payne video, maybe so.

Is the plan to disrupt meetings, stop traffic, and burn your (man-boob) bras to protest not the Vietnam War but health care reform and immigration?

On immigration, maybe you should read this Wall Street Journal editorial:
