"RIYADH (Reuters) - King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has urged U.S. President Barack Obama to impose a solution on the festering Arab-Israeli conflict if necessary, a Saudi newspaper said on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia and other Arab states want Obama to get tough with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has balked at Palestinian statehood and defied U.S. calls to halt the expansion of Jewish settlements."

So King Abdullah wants "King" Obama to IMPOSE a solution? Since when is Israel a kingdom run by Obama??

It appears the Palestinians/terrorists view Obama as an ally in their Muslim jihad against the Israelis. Wonder who gave them that idea, hmmm?

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

  2. "Since when is Israel a kingdom run by Obama?"

--Since they came begging for us to dig them out of their hole. Everyone says that Israel doesn't need us, but I say BS. They do need us and that's fine, but they want us to fight for their land that god gave them and I'm sorry, that just doesn't fly. Of course, I'm not condoning the suggestion that Obama should impose anything on another nation, we got enough problems here and I truly believe that if we were never involved with Israel, we would not have been attacked. Just my opinion, I'm not expert.

    Really?

    When did they do that?

  4. brandonB, Obama can "impose" nothing in a foreign, sovereign country. He lacks the legal or moral authority.
He may be your "Messiah" but he's nothing in any other country around the world.
    Go back to Civics 101.

--Where have you been the last 8 years while we've been imposing our will on other countries? Just because you agree with it doesn't mean it's right. Are we imposing our will when we overthrow a sovereign government? Are we imposing our will when we tell a country it can not pursue nuclear capabilities? Oh its ok for a right winger to do it but when a lefty does it, it's the apocalypse. In 8 years, you all are going to look just as foolish as those that though Bush was the anti christ.

--He MAY be, but he's not. Don't state who I worship when you know nothing about me you sensationalist pig. Why can't you stay on topic? Oh there's nothing to discuss because you know it all, so you go to righty blogs and pat backs.

    (yawn)

    We're done here, too.

brandiB and Raw Raw are amazingly similar, aren't they?

I think its time to check out their respective IP addresses.

  8. brandonB, your opinion that President Bush did something wrong ("imposing our will")is a common belief among the Bush haters in your party. But it's just an opinion, not a fact.

And can you please specify the country in which "we" overthrew a sovereign government? I don't recall that event.
I do recall a coalition effort in Iraq which toppled a vicious, murderous dictator, but that was achieved by a coalition force after UN approval, not the U.S. **see below for a list of coalition countries**

No one is telling any country what they can and can't do with nuclear power. However, the United Nations and other entities are being specific about what consequences those nations will face if they continue developing nuclear weapons. I don't see that as "imposing our will" when it's the common declaration of a multitude of countries around the world and the United Nations.

Hmmm...I wonder just what a "sensasionalist pig" is, exactly?
One who delights in sensations? One who has a lot of sense? One who rejects nonsensical Dems?

    **Coalition Countries in Iraq**

  9. "Bush haters in your party"

--No Bush haters here. No party members here either. I'm unaffiliated.

"No one is telling any country what they can and can't do with nuclear power."

--And that's the way it should be. I knew we could find some common ground!

"And can you please specify the country in which "we" overthrew a sovereign government? I don't recall that event."

--As far as I'm concerned, Iraq was a soveriegn government. There was no need to do what we did and I don't feel that we are safer because of it.

"So King Abdullah wants "King" Obama to IMPOSE a solution?"

"It appears the Palestinians/terrorists view Obama as an ally in their Muslim jihad against the Israelis"

--No one calls Obama king except for you. Did the Saudi king ever approach Bush with this same proposition? To do what we can to bring an end to conflict in the region? hmmmm? I looked it up, but I couldn't find your source that states the Saudi king is a Palestinian or terrorist involved in Jihad against Israel.

"achieved by a coalition force after UN approval, not the U.S."

"the United Nations and other entities are being specific about what consequences those nations will face"

--You put a lot of stock into the UN when it serves your agenda. The UN is also very clear on issues of torture and "peace" in the middle east. Of course, when that comes up the righties cry "but the UN is run by muslims!! bawwww!!"

Bubba, I am not the other poster. I believe when we took part in a coalition to overthrow the government of Hussain, we were imposing our will on another country. Is it your opinion that Iraq was unclaimed land and we were just staking a claim? I don't understand how "saddam was mean" justifies all of the money and lives that have been absolutely WASTED over there. Sure, lots of folks hated saddam. That's because THEY wanted to be the ones doing the gassing and controlling the oil. There is nothing we can do to bring peace to their hole just the same as there is nothing we can do to bring piece in the hole called Israel. God gave both the arabs and jews the land so let him figure it out. Of course, here soon, even asking why Israel is deserving of the desert will be a hate crime, so I better shut it now.

Oh, and why did you leave Jordan out of the coalition list? Guess it doesn't suit your worldview.

  10. brandonB, your ignorance of how the world works, your ignorance of the events leading up to the successful coalition effort to liberate the Iraqis, and your continued insistence that "we" alone are "forcing our will" on other countries is truly mind boggling.
What's most frightening about it is that you probably vote.

  11. Jaycee, try to stay on topic. My ignorance? Let's see we have this:

" King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has urged U.S. President Barack Obama.."

    then it turns into:

"Saudi Arabia and other Arab states want Obama to get tough..:

    then we have:

"So King Abdullah wants "King" Obama to IMPOSE a solution?"

and you top it off with:

"It appears the Palestinians/terrorists view Obama as an ally.."

    (slippery in here)

And of course, instead of explaining your reasoning for deleting Jordan from the coalition list, you just state how ignorant I am of how the world works, but I am very aware of how people like you ignore facts contrary to your twisted world view. I am curious as to why you left Jordan off of the list? If they weren't a coalition country, then let me know because I must have some sorry sources.

  12. brandonB, please read for comprehension.
The use of QUOTATION marks indicate a direct quote from the linked source I posted.
Obviously, the comments AFTER the quotes were mine and reflect my opinion.
    Get a clue, dude.

  13. Since you refuse to answer my questions, I'll make my own assumptions as to why you left Jordan off of the coalition list. I find it interesting you post articles you don't agree with, but since I'm not familiar with that style of reasoning, I'll bow out of this thread since educating me about your views is not what you're here for. You come for the friendly pat on the back, right? Sorry I pushed you out of your comfort zone. Feel free to address my questions though because I'd love to understand where you are coming from.
