Oh, THIS will REALLY scare the pirates into submission!

The Obamanation, in the form of Eric Holder and the Justice Department, wants to investigate the pirates for possible prosecution:

" 'If there were ever a U.S. victim of one of these attacks or a U.S. shipping line that were a victim, our Justice Department has said that it would favorably consider prosecuting such apprehended pirates,' Stephen Mull, the acting undersecretary of state for international security and arms control, told Congress last month.

Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said Saturday, 'At this time, were not going to comment about potential prosecution scenarios in the US. We all hope to resolve this situation as quickly and safely as possible.' "

What do they want to do?

Drop some FBI agents off at the lifeboat some 300 miles out in the Indian Ocean, and make them say something like "FBI. We want to ask you some questions...."?

What's next? A 2009 version of "Blackhawk Down"?

Do you remember who screwed that operation up?

This is just the latest in the growing list of absurdities about the Obamanation.

It won't be the last time this happens.

It would also be necessary to insert teams of ACLU lawyers for each of the "criminals" to insure we respect their rights. Remember, we're not at war with Muslims; they're at war with us.
Do you recall the "Gorelick" wall that separated intelligence developed by federal law enforcement from that developed by the intelligence agencies? Expect to see that wall once again interfere with the security of our country as this silly and befuddling drama plays out from the White House, led by the incompetent boobs we elected.

  2. Actually, those pirates are dead now and the captain is rescued thanks to the military force Obama twice approved.

You traitorous dogs should all be locked up as far as I'm concerned.

  3. "....thanks to the military force Obama twice approved."

I doubt that was the case.

It's more likely that he was informed of the options, and he gave tacit approval to several.

Either that, or he was TOLD, in no uncertain terms, that he needed to approve several options, the choice of which was in control of local tactical command.

  4. And as far as the "traitorous dogs" comment, that's just the sort of garbage I would expect to hear from a supporter of an administration that is intent on criminalizing political differences, and stifling any resistance to the Obamanation.

  5. The US Navy just did what it was supposed to do. They needed no special "permission" from Obama to do that, and the Admiral giving the first Pentagon briefing this afternoon confirmed that Obama gave no personal direction to the mission, just general blanket "permission" for the Navy to use the means necessary to do their job.
And the head of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is warning that the successful rescue of an American captain held by Somali pirates could escalate violence in that part of the world.
If President Bush had done this we'd be seeing CNN blowhards screaming about "excessive force against Muslims."
    Where are the naysayers now??

  6. Once again. You are wrong. You seem quite incapable of discerning anything about the world around you with any kind of accuracy. It has kind of become your trademark.

Please do not criticize our president during a time of war. It is un-American. If you don't like it here, you can move.

  7. Roch, we're not in a "time of war" we're in a time of Overseas Contingency Operation. There's a big difference. I'm not sure just exactly what the difference is, but The One knows and that's all that matters, right? Maybe you can explain it to us.
Anyway, The One has decided that this was a law enforcement action against the pirates, not a military action. We'll have spent millions of taxpayer $$$ to bring one uneducated, poor, hungry, and misguided youg soul all the way back to the US for trial. He's the lowest rung on the ladder; the little guy furthest from the source of the problem.
And I read this morning where The One wants to send millions more of our taxpayer $$$ to Somalia as "aid" to pay off the people there so they won't steal from us any more!!! I guess The One didn't get that last briefing from Bill Clinton titled: "Somalia. Don't go there."

Had President Bush taken this action the headlines would scream, "Bush Orders Assassination of Muslims."

  10. I served in the military for over 15 years and your comments disgust me. Supposedly you did as well, but I find nothing in your blog that supports the supposition that you in any way deserved to once wear the uniform.

Looking at the facts of this incident its evident that the President had a specific hand in how it was carried out and executed and yet you refuse to even acknowledge that simple fact.

People like you are the reason why this country is slipping into the hands of extremists. I pity you and your family.

God Bless the USA. God bless our President.

  11. Obama is a thief.
He stole 5 precious days from the life of Capt. Phillips in a vain and narcissistic attempt for personal aggrandizement.
This was Obama’s first colossal and abysmal foreign policy failure; it probably won’t be the last.

    Obama tried diplomacy. FAIL
    Obama tried negotiation. FAIL
Obama tried groveling at the feet of an enemy. FAIL
Obama tried throwing money at the problem. FAIL
    Obama tried appeasement. FAIL
Obama said recently, “The United States will not torture.” FAIL, he just did it to Capt. Phillips.
Obama tried implementing every liberal alternative to direct action. DISASTROUS FAIL

Obama’s predecessor (and those who have “seen the elephant”) knew that the only way to deal with homicidal, lawless thugs is by force.
In the end, only bullets insured a successful end to Obama’s foreign policy blunder. Capt. Phillips was rescued in spite of Obama’s leadership, not as a result of it.
Obama forced 5 days of torture, hunger, and hellish conditions on an American citizen while he dilly-dallied and wrung his hands with inexperience, ineptitude, and miserable indecision.

Obama should be headed to trial instead of the poor 16-year old pirate who was only doing what his culture and upbringing led him to do.

  12. Mr. McCormick, believing Obama did the right thing is like watching a man starve and beat a dog for 5 days and then hailing him as a hero because he fed the poor mutt on the 6th day.
With your military experience to look back on, would you let a wounded comrade lie unattended on the battlefield within your sight for 5 days before you finally let your subordinates take effective action?
If your answer is "yes" then I'm glad you no longer serve.

  13. I like the way the clown automatically denigrates my service by saying he finds nothing that "supports the supposition that you in any way deserved to once wear the uniform."

    Here's my reply:

    Read and comprehend, Asshole:

I won't lower myself to your scumbag bottom feeding level to comment any further to some jerk like you who likes to run his mouth without knowing the facts of which he speaks.

If I wanted any shit out of you, I'd find you, and squeeze your head.

    Understood?
