This particular massive tax increase will be disguised as a "market friendly cap and trade solution"

It's just another case of separating you from MORE of your money, all in the name of supporting the phoney "scientific consensus" on "anthropogenic global warming".

Noteworthy:

"Our analysis makes clear that S. 2191 promises extraordinary perils for the American economy. Arbitrary restrictions predicated on multiple, untested, and undeveloped technologies will lead to severe restrictions on energy use and large increases in energy costs. In addition to the direct impact on consumers' budgets, these higher energy costs will spread through the economy and inject unnecessary inefficiencies at virtually every stage of production and consumption--all of which will add yet more financial burdens that must be borne by American taxpayers."

Here's the costs to North Carolinians.

A huge boondoggle is headed your way, all to satisfy an agenda item that is based on academic fraud.

  1. As you know Bubba, we don't exactly agree on this topic. I simply don't know what is happening; all I know is the glaciers are melting back to the ice that was formed 10,000 years ago. So I am not as vehement as you. I also want to see the environment cleaned up and am therefore a big advocate of alternative sources of energy. That is the free stuff like wind, water and sun.

Where this whole mess started was not necessarily the global warming and the call for alternative fuels but the big agri-business pushing ethanol and getting the government on line thru their lobbyists and deep pockets.

The oil industry being sharp cookies know that it takes more fuel(oil or coal) to produce ethanol than the ethanol is worth simply hopped on the band wagon Congress created for them and raised their prices. And you are right the tax payer is getting the bill.

The grain shortages are causing starvation in poor countries however and our Congress is directly responsible for this. BB

Sorry Brenda but this whole thing started as a scam to put carbon credits and carbon trading into place which would eventually become the common trading currency for the world. This idea was introduced by Sir Nicoles Stern, economist and former head of the World Bank who sat on the IPCC committe for Global Warming. It was a scam then and is a scam now which was further perpetrated by Al Gore and formed into a religious like cult all worshiping at the altar of GW without a clue as to how they have been conned or as I often say, "Stern-ly Gored".
All those who have disagreed with the con artist and the covering IPCC gang have been ignored. As in any con, only those who are in charge can be correct.

  3. CO2 is NOT the forcing agent for increased temperature.

TEMPERATURE is the forcing agent for CO2.

The chemistry and the math for "global warming" caused by anthropogenic CO2 just doesn't work the way the True Believers want it to work.

And the idea of CO2 being a "pollutant" is just plain asinine.
