Barry O won't be able to shake off the Wright Effect

Despite the fondest wishes and the enabling support among the media, Barone says the Wright albatross is Obama's to wear.

Key points:

"Nevertheless, the negative verdict these voters render on Obama's honesty and his relationship with Wright is likely to be typical of some significant quantum of potential Democratic voters this year. And not just in states like West Virginia and Kentucky, which he will certainly lose, but in marginal states which he must carry in order to be elected."

...and:

"Though most in the press won't admit it, that's a problem -- for the Obama candidacy and for the whole Democratic Party once it nominates him."

You would not know this if you read only the fawning coverage in the Lame Stream Media, and on Dem/Lefty/"Progressive"/Libthink blogs nationally and locally, but the truth is there for those who will see it.

  1. You are correct in saying that the far left LSM will attempt to give Obama a pass on his relationship with the Rev Wright while lambasting John McCain for even accepting an endorsement from the likes of the far right Rev. John Hagee. It seems the NYT today attempted to make the connection between McCain and Hagee as worse than the connection between Obama and Wright. Of course they did not mention Obama and Wright and their 20 year relationship but in the eyes of the NYT an endorsement by Hagee was terrible and of course McCain only rejected it when it became politically expedient. What hypocricy!. McCain accepted the endorsement the same as any political figure would accept an endorsement from a block voting group. It does not mean, and McCain even stated earlier that he didn't see eye to eye with Hagee on all things but was appreciative of the endorsement, that there was a connection simular to the one between Obama and his radical pastor. However the Obamazombies at the NYT would never admit this nor will they admit that Obama didn't break the relationship with his nutty pastor even when it was shown to be expedient that he do so. Instead he waited until the water came to a boil before he jerked his feet from the bath. Obama's relationship will cause much more harm that McCain's short term involvement through endorsement by Hagee. The farleft LSM will of course continue in their attempts to twist the facts to suit their agenda while giving Obama a pass.

You will find a post on this subject on my blog, Jus'Sayin.
