No, there's no effort by smarmy bloggers and journalists to talk the nation into a recession, is there?

"Over 78 percent more negative news stories discussed a recession when the economy under a Republican was soaring than occurred under a Democrat when the economy was shrinking. …

The media’s focus on the negative side of everything surely helps explain people’s pessimism. In a recent interview Fox’s Neil Cavuto claimed this bias ‘is all part of the media’s plan to get a Democrat in the White House.'"

  1. Two prime examples of this type of reporting currently seen on your television and in your newspapers are the mortgage "crisis" and the global warming "crisis." Given the coverage of failed mortgages in the country, how many do you suppose are impacted? Fifty percent? Twenty-five? According to the objective British economic publication The Market Oracle, only .83 percent of mortgages are in foreclosure. The delinquency rate is higher than normal, but it's still less than six percent. That means that 94 percent are being paid in full and on time.

Of course those 6%, for the most part, are expecting the Feds to bail them out because they were not smart enough to figure out they couldn't afford a $1500 a month mortgage, two $400 a month car payments, a $450 a month Bass Boat payment on $4000 a month income. But now it's Bush's fault!

  2. "But now it's Bush's fault!"

    Always, and forever.

The reason the Dems/Lefties/"Progressives" are beating the "recession/depression" drum so loudly is that it helps them advance their cherished political, social, and economic agenda, all to the greater detriment of the nation and its people.

There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever regarding the veracity of that statement. It's been proven time and again in their words and actions.
