Hillary and Obama are starting to take aim at McCain, and they've chosen an outright lie about his Iraq policy for one of their highlights.
Krauthammer has details.
Noteworthy:
"But a serious argument is not what Democrats are seeking. They want the killer sound bite, the silver bullet to take down McCain.
According to Politico, they have found it: "'Dems to hammer McCain for '100 years.'" The device? Charge that McCain is calling for a hundred years of war."
"The Annenberg Political Fact Check, a nonprofit and nonpartisan project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, says: 'It's a rank falsehood for the DNC to accuse McCain of wanting to wage "endless war" based on his support for a presence in Iraq something like the U.S. role in South Korea.'"
On his final point, I disagree with Krauthammer.
It's quite frequently you see a dirty lie being propagated by this crowd.
The entire eight years of George Bush's presidency was subjected to such a tactic by the not-so loyal opposition.
And just what is Obama's plan other than to say, I will end this illegal war by 09. Truth is he doesn't have a clue, he has no real plan, but it sure sounds good to the swooning lefties who think he is the new messiah.***

Anyone who knows anything about the military knows that Sen. Obama really doesn’t have a clue how to accomplish his withdrawal boast. Samantha was quoted on BBC as saying: It’s the best case scenario [referring to a 16-month withdrawal plan as being negotiable]. Ultimately, Barack has no idea how quickly he can withdraw forces. He has no idea if it can even be done.
Obama has said that he will withdraw the troops and place them in another country. He recently named that country as Pakistan. Uh, does anyone see anything wrong with this picture? Does the Senator not think that the terrorists, who are already well entrenched in Pakistan, will not attack our troops there, thus, furthering the war?
With no real plan in mind and sending the troops to Pakistan it will then become Obama's War?
The swooning Lefties will be screaming, weeping and claiming that it's GW's fault.
The only change I see in Obama's plan is that we will be in Pakistan and Afganistan instead of Iraq and Afganistan, because if Obama thinks the terrorist will all just go home and play nice because "the messiah" has spoken the dope he smoked as a kid must have befuddled his mind or he actually thinks he is the "second coming".***
