Pay special attention to Number 1.
It's a special favorite of people like Ed Cone, who don't think it's possible to undermine consumer confidence into a recession with the constant drumbeat of cherry-picked negative economic stories which run contrary to the actual overall situation.
Noteworthy:
"Of 50-plus economists surveyed by research firm Blue Chip Economic Indicators, not one is predicting a recession."
Hi Bubba,
ReplyDeleteSome of the investment folks that I talk with are now...as of the past couple of weeks beginning to say the recession and inflation words.
I wonder how the average household deals with the rise in gasoline from $2 to $3 in the past year or so...sorta feels like a tax increase of sorts for many.
Wait till the "tax cuts for the rich" get repealed, and the bills for fixing "global warming" and instituting universal health care come due.
ReplyDeleteAn increase from 2 to 3 dollars a gallon for fuel will be insignificant by comparison.
