Expanding a failed Red Light Camera program in Philadelphia

Eric at Classical Values has details.

Key point:

"God forbid that red light cameras might become a 'cash cow.'"

....like the Greensboro and High Point city governments had before the program was shut down when challenged in court.

Let's hope we're strong enough to make sure these abominations NEVER make another appearance in our state.

  1. Back in '03 or '04 I wrote a series of articles for the Greater Greensboro Observer that exposed many of the lies the red light camera companies try to pass off on the public and after the 3rd article the manager of the red light camera company in Wilmington got so mad he drove to Greensboro and started screaming at my editor, Ogi and threatening us with law suits so Ogi let me write 3 more articles exposing them for the crooks they are.

  2. The abuses of Red Light Camera programs are legendary in many parts of the country.

The National Motorists Association is probably the best place for data and information about what is (bottom line) just another revenue program for localities, using "traffic safety" as an excuse.

Everyone knows this, but none of the bureaucrats involved admit it.
