Based on previous experience and some concrete previous examples, there is every reason to believe certain Dem/Lefty/"Progressives" are more than willing to sacrifice national security to fulfill certain political, social, and economic agenda items.
Not to mention how much it will cost us when we are dragged back into the middle morass to follow a premature pullout under much worse circumstances....
