Scott Johnson has the details.
Key point (from Scott):
"Iran's proxy war against the United States is being fought in Iraq, but not only in Iraq. Today our friends at the Claremont Institute publish Thomas Joscelyn's extraordinary pamphlet: Iran's Proxy War Against America. Joscelyn traces the war from the embassy bombing in Beirut and collects evidence suggestive of Iran's collaboration with al Qaeda in attacks including the Khobar Towers bombing, the 1998 embassy bombings, 9/11 and the al Qaeda/Taliban "great escape" from Afghanistan in late 2001."
In addition, Joscelyn has successfully debunked the current revisionist meme circulating among Dem/Lefty/"Progressive" sources (including one particular local blog) that are downplaying the influence of Al Qaeda in Iraq.
As we know, that particular topic is a thinly disguised ploy to draw attention away from certain truths in the Iraq situation, as well as to deflect attention away from the threat we constantly face from terror.
Just more Business As Usual for those who never miss an opportunity to support their worldview through lies and distortions.
