City funding of the Civil Rights Museum comes up--AGAIN!

The voters of Greensboro have TWICE indicated by referendum vote that they are NOT willing to spend any more public money on the Skip and Earl pet project.

But like the proverbial bad penny, it just keeps coming up.

Yet according to Doug Clark at the N&R:

"Our Editorial Board strongly supports completion of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. Leaving that historic landmark in its present condition is an embarrassment for Greensboro and simply unacceptable."

"Unacceptable" and "an embarrassment" to exactly whom, Doug?

  1. It would get done by private donations if Skip and Earl would just remove themselves from the table. This the local foundation made very clear to them and it was reported in the N&R, but of course they are not about to give up their current and best cash cow that they have been milking now for 14 years.
