Yet another chapter in the hypocritical essence of John Edwards

More evidence that John Edwards is mainly concerned with John Edwards, not the issues he professes to champion.

(hat tip: Piedmont Publius)

"Mr. Edwards, who reported this year that he had assets of nearly $30 million, came up with a novel solution, creating a nonprofit organization with the stated mission of fighting poverty. The organization, the Center for Promise and Opportunity, raised $1.3 million in 2005, and — unlike a sister charity he created to raise scholarship money for poor students — the main beneficiary of the center’s fund-raising was Mr. Edwards himself, tax filings show."

Imagine that!

Even Democrats are starting to realize the extent of Edwards' imposture.

  1. What a hypocrite!

Nothing he does or says surprises me anymore. He only looks out for himself!

  2. I seem to recall that I mused (very skeptically) about the motives behind Edward's "novel idea" (the poverty center) a while back.

The usual suspects did not appreciate the musings.

  3. "The usual suspects did not appreciate the musings."

They never seem to appreciate clear thinking and factual information about their agenda items and their favorite candidates.

    I wonder why?
