Please, God....Please!

Let this come true!

It will end up being even worse for the Democrats than 1972 was.

I won't be surprised to see Al Gore announce his candidacy. I've thought all along that he was biding his time; just waiting for the right opportunity.

No one, Democrat or Republican, should underestimate Gore's chances. He has strong national name identification and a large following. He also knows how to raise large sums of money.

Since I am a conservative, I want a Republican to win in 2008. And, a Gore candidacy may split the Democrat Party and improve the chances for the GOP. But, much as we may not want to admit it, Gore is a tough candidate to beat. After all, Al Gore did win the popular vote for president in 2000.

  2. With the albatrosses he carries around his neck?

I think Gore will be a HUGE embarrassment to the country if he attempts to run again.

With his embittered insistence on turning the 00 election into a legal farce, and his over the top radical views he's expressed since his defeat, he has ended up as nothing more than a sad caricature of the man who served as Vice President.

He has lost the trust of many Americans.

Any of the top Republicans would shred him thoroughly in the campaign.

I hope they do make the mistake of nominating him, Wendell.

  3. AlGore can't run, he'd have to waddle!
That dude has sure gobbled up his share of the food supply on our planet. I wonder how many free range chickens had to die to fill out his suits these days?
I think AlGore's global warming schtick has proven to be political hypothesis at best, and he has far less credibility than when he was just a quiet VP.
That said, his candidacy would be a boon to the Republicans.
