All charges dropped in Duke lacrosse players case

Imagine that!

Details.

Attorney General Cooper:

"We believe that these cases were the result of a tragic rush to accuse and a failure to verify serious allegations. Based on the significant inconsistencies between the evidence and the various accounts given by the accusing witness, we believe these three individuals are innocent of these charges."

Nothing will ever make these guys whole again, regardless of the outcome of any civil action.

Nifong is in a WHOLE heap of trouble.

I do not feel sorry for him at all.

  1. Nifong should pay all legal costs, lose his right to practice law and be tossed in jail if merited.

If Nifong can not or will not pay all legal costs then Duke should step up and do the right thing.

  2. Nifong should have to spend a couple of years in the slammer, including the same cell w/ the low life bitch who made up the accusations to begin with. They deserve each other.

  3. ".... then Duke should step up and do the right thing."

I think the chances of that happening are not good.

Witness the ways the school will avoid dealing with the nonsense from the faculty Gang of 88.

  4. Will Sharpton and Jackson apologize to the Duke lacrosse players for making the same kind of statement for which they took Imus to task? My guess is NO.
Will the Duke faculty apologize for their derogatory and precipitous remarks? My guess is NO.
Will both groups above continue their hypocritical rants against those they hate while committing the same indiscretions themselves? My guess is YES.

  5. All three of your answers are right on the money, jaycee.

Al Sharpton and Je$$e Jack$on have no moral authority to criticize ANYONE regarding ethnic slurs.

The arrogance and hypocrisy of academia, as evidenced in the Duke Gang of 88, will continue unabated and enabled by their "progressive" pals.

Some things (and people) never change.
