One thing's for certain: if the Libthinkers/BDS sufferers/Peace at Any Price crowd get their way, and force us to suffer defeat in Iraq and in the greater struggle against terrorism, expect MANY more of these things to occur, and for some of them to achieve some level of success.
We've already lost Iraq so nothing you said in this post has any relivance. Read a history book or two: there has NEVER been a grass roots insurgency that lost a war. It might take a year, 10 years, or 300 years but grass roots insurgencies never loose and what we're fighting in Iraq is a grass roots insurgency.

Right offhand, billy, I can think of 2 insurgencies that were thwarted.

Those of us who have already been through that period of time have vowed to never let these types of people be successful again.
We can't afford the true costs of their nonsense.
