Will Obama be the man with no middle name when mentioned by the media?

Thomas Lifson discusses the interesting policy the WaPo has decided to adopt.

Noteworthy:

"It is all a bit confusing. The Post editorialists also inform us that

On the contrary, Mr. Obama's multicultural background (his father was Kenyan, and he spent several years living in Indonesia with his mother and stepfather) ought to be viewed as a plus.
All right. But doesn't including his middle name help us understand the glorious diversity of his past? Is the Post suggesting that Americans are so driven by hate that anything sounding vaguely Muslim ought to be omitted? Perhaps we should simply call him Barack Multicultural Obama?"

Ah, the wonders of Libthink: Multiculturism is a plus, except when it's not convenient politically.

Are we really surprised to find that out?

  1. I remember when Hillary Rodham Clinton took a press beating when she decided to use her maiden name as part of her full name. Seems a little contradictory to demand that Mr. Obama use his middle name, when he never used it prior, because you seem to like it.

Ummmm.....please share with us WHERE I said THAT in my comment, Sue?

My comment was in regards to the hypocrisy shown by WaPo on the matter.

You made an assumption not born out by the facts.

Who do you think you are?

    The News and Record?

  3. Well, it IS his middle name, and I can choose to use it when I refer to him, can't I?
