On the "Forget Obama" tour with our local hero, campaigning as THE New Populist.
Or is it "The New Patriot"?
Hard to tell, isn't it?
Excerpts:
"'Don't do it for me,' Edwards pleaded. 'I'm dead serious. Don't do this for me. Do it for yourselves. Do it for your family. And do it for this country you love so much.'
It just so happens 'it' is all in the context of a campaign to get John Edwards elected President of the United States--coincidental, I'm sure."
"Ah, the bane of John Edwards supporters' lives: Existing as such highly evolved humanitarian buck-passers in a country full of retrograde disagreeables."
How true.
Excellent link, Bubba.
ReplyDeleteI may link and comment on it further. But if I do, I will give your blog it's due . . . unlike some who feel that their own blogs "up-grade" from ours.
In Edwards case, all of the "love" directed his way by the techno-geek elite (for using the web in new and different ways - nevermind Howard Dean did that first), fails to recognize the "mass-manipulator" theme that wafts through what he's doing with the Web.
For instance, his fansite has a "tesitmonials" page . . . full of fawning odes to his leadership. I've got a "testimonial" too. But you'll never see it there.
John Edwards knows a lot about poverty, after all, he's helped throw a lot of people into it with:
ReplyDelete- his co-sponsorship of H-1b visas,
- his support for illegal aliens,
- his vote for MFN-China
but what about stuff like iraq war and the patriot act?
well, he voted for them too
About the only think you can say for Edwards is, he spent so much time running for president that he didnt have time to do more damage as senator
You've got to ask yourself - 'what did he do, with the power he had, when he had it?
Let's all feel sorry for poor John Edwards.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you DO know that his father was a millworker, don't you?
It's too bad he's not a little older, thereby making the possibility of him being a viet Nam veteran a talking point too.
Oh wait, we forgot just how well THAT worked for a vertain has-been presidential candidate in the last election, didn't we?
"John Edwards knows a lot about poverty".
ReplyDeleteAlas, he resigned from the Poverty Center (at the UNC Law School) . . . a position taylor-invented for him by the NC Democratic elite.
His "job" for the next two years is going to be running for President.
Of course, that was his job before . . . even when he had another one . . . representing (NOT) the people of North Carolina.
The N & R carries Kathleen Parker.
ReplyDeleteWonder if they will spike this one?
What A Phony
Dr. Johnson,
ReplyDeleteIt's important that North Carolinians speak up about the truth of Edwards
He snows too many people outside of his home state
He's a master of telling people what they want to hear
Don't worry Anon. I'm first in line on that mission.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the ordinary public servants whose life and work his ambition and neglect consigned to the trash can . . . with all the hairspray bottles.
Edwards is good looking...that is enough to make him president..right?
ReplyDeleteEdwards for Pres with Hilly for VP?
(I bet the bookies would have them winning by a wide margin...sigh)
