More on embryonic stem cell hucksters and their agenda

From Ramesh Ponnuru at NRO.

Noteworthy:

"You’d think it would be good news when scientists make a stem-cell breakthrough to which nobody objects. But for some people, it’s bad news that has to be spun away."

"Alternative approaches can be dismissed whenever promising findings haven’t been reproduced; but findings favorable to embryonic stem-cell research are taken to the bank, whether or not they’re reproduced. The long-term potential for embryo-destructive research is emphasized; the failure of alternative approaches to produce immediate results is held against them. Data is cherry-picked to show that the absence of taxpayer funding for embryo-destructive research has hurt American competitiveness; contrary evidence is ignored."

This whole nonsense is transparent. The maniacal support for embryonic stem cell research, to the exclusion of all other stem cell research, is nothing more than a back door defense of an absolute and unfettered abortion on demand agenda.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Not if it requires I suspend all my moral beliefs to achieve a political/social agenda, Joe.
