Key point:
"I repeat what I have been saying for many months. This is not Democrat vs. Republican. Any Democrat who steps up to the plate for American security could have my vote. This is not a partisan question. It is a question about the deepest principles of American life in our own time.
It is certainly not a partisan question for those thousands of innocent Americans who would have been travelling on those planes going from Great Britain to return home."
Ah, but that's all just "scare tactics" by the Republicans to keep us all riled up over nothing, right?
Hide and Watch the Law of Unintended Consequences bite the Dums in the butt this November.
Bubba,
ReplyDeleteThanks for that. I am a regular visitor to RCP . Don't kinow how I missed it. I am old enough to remember my Granddaddy ranting about FDR, Wallace and Truman. That did leave a powerful memory with a almost teen. I have since studied history which has born out those remarks from an impression into convictions. Dad was apolitcal.Too busy working 16 hours a day. I see a remarkable double standard from those who are scorning Lieberman for calling Ned Lamont a "Sharpton/Jackson " Democrat and giving the plagarizing Sen. Joe Biden and Andrew Young a pass for their far more insensitive statements . Jesse and and Al were invited to stand shoulder to shoulder with Lamont on the podium, before the cameras, during the victory statement primary night. Now it is racist to call attention to their unwholesome relationship? I don't think so !!
