Not if you're paying attention.
Noteworthy:
"First, nonscientists generally do not want to bother with understanding the science. Claims of consensus relieve policy types, environmental advocates and politicians of any need to do so. Such claims also serve to intimidate the public and even scientists--especially those outside the area of climate dynamics. Secondly, given that the question of human attribution largely cannot be resolved, its use in promoting visions of disaster constitutes nothing so much as a bait-and-switch scam. That is an inauspicious beginning to what Mr. Gore claims is not a political issue but a "moral" crusade."

ReplyDeleteBubba, Have you read my blog on global warming? I am not by any means a die hard Al Gorette, but I really have a problem with the glaciers melting back to the 6000 BC level. And these figures come from reliable sources with no stake in this argument. Brenda Bowers
ReplyDeleteBeen pretty busy, Brenda, but I will read it.
ReplyDeleteFred,
ReplyDeleteA certain way to make a hyperlink at Blogger is to use a weee bit of html code -- two tags, an opening tag and a closing tag which surround the word(s) you want to make into a link. Like this:
<a href="http://www.google.com"> Google</a>
This will make a link that looks like this:
Google
Just make sure to observe the spacing, preserve the "s and replace the URL and word(s) between the tags with your own.
