Barack the Magnificent has decreed

.....that no dissenting media shall be permitted to cover The Illustrious One in his march to dominate and bend the rabble to his will.

Quoting the Washington Times:

"The Washington Times, which has covered the Barack Obama campaign from the start, was kicked off the Democrat's campaign plane for the final 72 hours of the race.

The Obama campaign informed the newspaper Thursday evening of its decision, which came two days after the Times editorial page endorsed Senator John McCain over Mr. Obama. The Times editorial page runs completely independent of the news department.

'This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth, we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama's campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter's pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign,' said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon.

'I hope the candidate that promises to unite America isn't using a litmus test to determine who gets to cover his campaign.'"

It's only just begun......

'Eunuchs in the Harem'

Mark Steyn details what to expect from the Tank Media/Obama Support Team on election night, on Hugh Hewitt's radio show.

Noteworthy:

HH: Yesterday, I watched CNN’s Rick Sanchez mug Joe the Plumber, mocking him, along with David Gergen mocking him, for daring to have an opinion on Israel. It’s really gone over the top in many places, Mark Steyn.

MS: Yes, and I mean, I find this revolting. I mean essentially, they’re saying that Joe the Plumber being a citizen is unqualified to do anything except stand in the chorus and sing hail the great Obama. Maybe it takes a subject of a monarch to point out to these poltroons like Gergen that this is a citizen republic of citizen legislators. And the idea that somehow Joe the Plumber is demonstrating grotesque lese majeste, and having the impertinence to ask a question of King Barack the good, I think is revolting, and I think is one thing, actually, people are disgusted by when they look at the media. The media basically are behaving like a corrupt version of the House of Lords. So actually, it’s not even that good. The media have simply announced that they’re content to be the eunuchs in Sultan Barack’s harem.

HH: Now there is, however, if they’re in the business of electing Barack, they’re not doing…well, they’re probably doing it as well as they’re doing journalism right now. The new Fox News poll puts Obama’s edge over McCain at 3 in the likely voters, and at 3 in the registered voters, Mark Steyn. Do you believe that this alleged tightening is real?

MS: Yes, I think the tightening is real. I think the tightening in the swing states is real, and the tightening in all the national polls is real. What we should be prepared for, though, and I say this, it embarrasses me to have to say this, but round about 4:00, 5:00 Eastern time on Tuesday, there are going to be starting rumors that it’s a landslide, it’s an Obama landslide, anybody living west of the Florida Panhandle shouldn’t bother voting, shouldn’t bother going to the polls, it’s all over, it’s an Obama landslide. And it’s important that when we, that we stay focused until the very last poll closes in Hawaii, because the media, I believe on Tuesday afternoon Eastern time, is going to be making a concerted effort to depress turnout west.

You heard it here first, folks.

Hide and watch.

Obama says we're "selfish"

.....because we're not real peachy keen about his "spread the wealth around" plans.

Noteworthy:

"'John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,' Obama continued. 'You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.'

It's unclear if this was a nod to the Ayn Rand book "The Virtue of Selfishness," with all that the invocation of Rand implies.

It would seem to be, given the themes of Rand's work, what happens when independent achievers are demonized.

Which would fit with this description of those who want to keep their hard-earned tax dollars as 'selfish.'

Atlas may not be shrugging, but Obama is."

It's not selfish.

it's just protection from the economic suicide the messiah wants us to commit.

Why the Tank Media gang is a little nervous

"Oh no....n-n-n-n-n-noooooooo! "

"It just COULDN'T be!"

The clincher:

"Throughout the campaign we have kept emphasizing the so-called fundamentals. Consumer confidence at a low. Bush's approval ratings right down there with those of Nixon and Carter. Nine out of 10 Americans convinced the nation is on the wrong track.

But you know what? This is still a pretty conservative country, and Obama is further to the left than any other presidential nominee in history. His associations with Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, his determination to get out of Iraq just as fast as he can, his plans to nationalize health care--we love that stuff in the newsroom, but when the American people step into the voting booths, it might not sit right. America, conservative; Obama, liberal. That's fundamental too.

Am I saying McCain will win? No way. I'm just admitting we're nervous--and really, really tired of all this. For us in the mainstream media, the campaign isn't about choosing a president. It's about us. Coming out of the Democratic convention, Obama looked unbeatable. Now? Nobody knows. You try having your worldview validated for weeks and then suddenly placed in doubt.

One last thing. If this weekend the polls start breaking for McCain, don't expect us to keep up with the story. We're slow to see what we don't want to see. And if we had to admit that McCain was doing better than we expected, we'd have to offer some reasons. Just look at what Howard Fineman found himself writing for Newsweek a couple of days ago. "Why hasn't Obama run away with this? Because McCain has succeeded … in raising the hoary specter of 'tax-and-spend' liberals."

The Obama Way: Oppressing dissent, and you can't say you weren't warned

"Obama to critics: 'Just Shut Up'

Excerpt:

"All of this provides a frightening preview of what an Obama government (combined with a Democrat-controlled House and Senate) would look like. And this doesn't even start to take into account Obama's and the Democrats' intent to bring back the Fairness Doctrine, a spread-the-wealth approach to silencing conservative talk radio wherein the government uses regulation to force successful radio talk shows (i.e. conservative shows) to give part of their airtime to unsuccessful radio talk shows (i.e. liberal shows), or Obama's support for implementing legislation that would make it more difficult for workers to hold a private ballot vote in unionization drives (leading to harassment and intimidation) and thereby denying the democratic right of workers to decide by secret ballot whether they will come under union representation or not. Both issues are further examples of silencing opposition.

What makes Obama's affinity for suppressing dissent even worse is that mainstream newspapers and television networks, the very institutions expected to act as watchdogs and to be a forum for the expression of free speech of all persuasions, have failed the American people during this election not only through biased reporting but also by their shocking failure (refusal?) to dig beyond the surface into Obama's questionable background. As a result, in this election, the American people have been stripped of the protections normally provided by a vibrant and critical press, one of the most important weapons a free nation has against its leaders (or leaders-to-be) and against the tyranny of power.

Should Obama be elected to the presidency, Americans should expect such ugly aggressive tactics to continue, and Americans who disagree with President Obama should expect to be silenced. Whether it is through Obama's use of the mainstream press as a government mouthpiece, the imposition of the Fairness Doctrine to suppress (and in many cases eliminate) radio and television programs or print media outlets critical of an Obama administration, or, the sicking of the press and surrogates on citizens who dare question those in power, Americans are about to experience on a national scale what dissenting students and faculty on American campuses have experienced for years.

At least we can't say we weren't warned."

Is there any doubt Obama is a 'Red Diaper' baby?

There is WAY too much evidence not to eliminate any doubt at all about the question.

Key point:

"CPUSA archivist Gerald Horne explains the mold into which young Barack was cast by his mother, grandparents, and Frank Marshall Davis:

'In his best selling memoir ‘Dreams of my Father', the author (Obama) speaks warmly of an older black poet, he identifies simply as "Frank" as being a decisive influence in helping him to find his present identity as an African-American, a people who have been the least anticommunist and the most left-leaning of any constituency in this nation ....'

The hunger for recruits has given the CPUSA a black fetish -- both literally and figuratively. And this fetish has in turn shaped the Communist view of society and of politics.

And so, in Obama’s eyes, socialism is “black”. And the definition of race is ideological rather than biological. And this marks the fundamental nature of the “red diaper baby” -- ideology has triumphed and established its dominion over all the natural aspects of life, even love itself."

Regarding Obama, as a Christian of Convenience:

"The Chicago Tribune mentions a description of the Dunham's chosen church as "The Little Red Church on the Hill". According to its own website, East Shore Unitarian Church got that name because of, 'Well-publicized debates and forums on such controversial subjects as the admission of ‘Red China' to the United Nations....' The fact that Stenhouse once served as church president might also have contributed to the "red" label.

In a 2006 speech, Obama explained: "I was not raised in a particularly religious household, as undoubtedly many in the audience were. My father, who returned to Kenya when I was just two, was born Muslim but as an adult became an atheist. My mother, whose parents were non-practicing Baptists and Methodists, was probably one of the most spiritual and kindest people I've ever known, but grew up with a healthy skepticism of organized religion herself. As a consequence, so did I."

In describing his grandparents as Baptist and Methodist, Obama was contradicting himself. Describing his grandfather in Dreams (p17), Obama wrote: "In his only skirmish into organized religion, he would enroll the family in the local Unitarian Universalist congregation...."

Like grandfather, like grandson: Barack Obama would make his "only skirmish into organized religion", joining Chicago's Trinity United Church, inspired by anti-American church leader, Reverend Jeremiah Wright. He held tightly to Trinity until it endangered his presidential campaign. Then he quit. This is the sole basis of Obama's description of himself as a 'Christian.'"

This quote sums Obama up quite nicely, doesn't it?

"You have to pinch yourself - a Marxist radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshiped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it's considered impolite to say so.'

Obama's definition of those who will receive a 'tax cut ' keeps getting revised

Slow Joe Biden let the "new and improved" plan slip out: The threshold is down to 150Gs, and is falling fast.

Noteworthy:

"Just as Bill Clinton promised a "middle-class tax cut" in 1992 only to raise taxes on the middle class in 1993, Mr. Obama will quickly find that his tax-revenue math doesn't add up. Add in the demands on Capitol Hill to spend more and to offset the Alternative Minimum Tax, and our bet is that even $150,000 would soon prove to be a moving tax target. Remember when the AMT was only supposed to hit 21 millionaires? Next year, without relief, it could hit 26 million taxpayers. Tax increases always hit the middle class because that's where the money is."

You betcha it is!

Several things are very clear.

Obama has told us he is going to raise taxes. We know he's lying about the extent and the breadth of these tax cuts. We know his economic program would cause even more chaos in the economy. We know the unemployment rate would skyrocket under his so-called benevolence. We know that wealth confiscation schemes are being constructed to implement his peculiar sense of "economic justice", and we know he's pandering to the significant percent of the public who don't pay taxes by offering an outright bribe in the guise of "stimulus".

Add to that the coming restriction of true rights, the invention of imaginary rights, and the stated plans to put our nation in extreme danger from a warped foreign policy.

This guy should only be polling at the 25 percent level of left wingers, looney tooners, and "progressive" kooks that are out there.

Perhaps the Childish at Any Age crowd is larger than I thought.

Yet ANOTHER nail in the coffin which holds JR's Job Security

....is found here, to go along with this.

On the other hand, perhaps the News and Record can find something along the lines of a non-existent hate crime at Guilford College to talk about, or maybe think up a few lies about some Confederate history buff extolling the virtues of slavery.

Yep, it's ALL a result of that McCain/Palin 'hate speech', isn't it?

I mean, what other reason could explain what these sociopaths did?

Noteworthy:

"He said a man and woman came into the office and asked for campaign yard signs for the Democratic ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

After being told the Obama-Biden campaign office was up the street, Stevens said, the man said he was aware of that, but that he thought Democratic signs were being stolen and 'stashed' at the Republican office.

Stevens told him that nobody there had stolen signs, not were they 'stashing' any in the building.

A confrontation escalated and, Stevens said, the man began to use some four-letter words.

Stevens said there were older women in the office and he asked the couple to leave the building.

'With the ladies in the office, I said that was enough and asked them to leave,' he said. 'I told them, if they had a problem with someone stealing their signs they needed to contact the police department.”

Stevens said the couple replied that they weren't leaving, and that they didn't have to.

'I kind of moved them towards the door and he lashed out at me,' Stevens said. 'So I lashed out at him.'

No punches were thrown, but instead the two simply held each other at bay, according to Stevens.

Once outside, Stevens said, the woman sprayed Mace on him and another volunteer before turning back to the office and spraying inside the building."

It must have been a sabotage squad sent out by the RNC, right?

I mean, it just COULDN'T have been those ever-present Obama Attack Droids on the rampage again, could it?

New TV reality show: 'Obama Knows Best'

More from that 2001 Obama Public Radio interview: The once and future messiah compares America to Nazi Germany

LGF:

“...just to take a, sort of a realist perspective...there’s a lot of change going on outside of the Court, um, that, that judges essentially have to take judicial notice of. I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”

How much worse can this get?

Once again, you won't see any of this mentioned anywhere in Obama's Tank Media Cheerleading Squad.

MORE:

The predictable "racist!" comments are never far behind, are they?

Excerpt:

"The point is simple; as bad as segregation was (and it was terrible), to compare America during the time of Brown vs. the BOE (when we were dismantling segregation) to genocidal Nazi Germany with its pogroms, death camps, and forced labor camps, and six million murders, is not just ludicrous and wrong, it is a morally bankrupt argument that verges on Holocaust denial."

Keeping Hate Alive: The Dem/Lefty/'Progressive' Way

"The sad reality is that the political left needs racism. They need it as both an issue and a weapon to discredit those who disagree with them.

They need to keep hate alive."

.
Noteworthy:

"Joining the Kansas City Star writer in his quest to keep the race issue alive, it pains me to say, is a hero of the Civil Rights movement, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA). The twenty-year veteran of the House of Representatives earlier this month had the audacity to compare John McCain to segregationist Gov. George Wallace.

'Senator McCain and Governor Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse,' Lewis said in a statement.

'George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights,' Lewis added. 'Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.'

What specifically did John McCain or Sarah Palin do to deserve being compared to an icon of segregation?

Lewis was right when he said that Wallace 'created the climate and the conditions' that led to the murder of four children in a church bombing. Can any fair-minded person legitimately argue that McCain or Palin has said anything remotely as horrific as Wallace did in his career? No."

...and:

"Question and criticize at your own risk.

That is the new motto of the Democratic Party as well as the Progressive movement in the United States. Expect to be labeled a racist, sexist, homophobe, fascist or any term that means hate, if you question or disagree with their ideas".

We're already used to that sort of thing from them.....

Sarkozy: Obama stance on Iran 'utterly immature'

But, except for the Obamadroids, we knew that already, didn't we?

Details:

Sarkozy has made his criticisms only in closed forums in France. But according to a senior Israeli government source, the reports reaching Israel indicate that Sarkozy views the Democratic candidate's stance on Iran as 'utterly immature' and comprised of 'formulations empty of all content."'

Obama visited Paris in July, and the Iranian issue was at the heart of his meeting with Sarkozy. At a joint press conference afterward, Obama urged Iran to accept the West's proposal on its nuclear program, saying that Iran was creating a serious situation that endangered both Israel and the West.

According to the reports reaching Israel, Sarkozy told Obama at that meeting that if the new American president elected in November changed his country's policy toward Iran, that would be 'very problematic.'"

Imagine that!

Will we be smart enough to save our nation from the disaster of an Obama presidency?

Newt Gingrich: "You can't say we weren't warned"

A look into a bleak near future, if the Obamabots have their way.

Noteworthy:

There is no mistaking what is coming. Even before Democrats won sweeping, one-party control of Washington, they had made their intentions to increase taxes and spending clear.

"Originally pegged at $150 billion, Pelosi’s spending package ballooned as time went on.

With 11 days to go before the election, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA) fleshed out some details of the massive spending package. Frank called for a 25 percent cut in defense spending and conceded that Democrats will raise taxes to pay for new government spending. If they couldn’t get the votes in November, Frank was confident that they would have them in January.

And long before the election, President-elect Barack Obama had expressed his preference for wealth redistribution over wealth creation both on the campaign trail and in a startling radio interview in 2001, in which he claims the Warren Court was not radical enough. (Bill Whittle does an excellent job of dissecting this interview at National Review Online ). "

And yet the Usual Suspects near and far will STILL be in denial about what awaits us.

May God have mercy upon our nation if Obama manages to fool enough people into electing him president.

Remembering Dean Barnett

Hugh Hewitt:

"My friend and colleague Dean Barnett died today, and the world is a much poorer place for it. As anyone who listened to him on my radio show or read his work at Soxblog, here or at the Weekly Standard knows, and as everyone who had the great, great pleasure of knowing Dean will attest, Dean's combination of sparking intelligence and enormous good humor made him one of the most memorable of friends. What too few people know, though, is what a kind, extraordinarily giving and compassionate man he was. Dean loved people and he loved this country and threw himself into every cause."

From the Obama 2001 Public Radio interview: "The Constitution is flawed. We need to spread the wealth."

"If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I’d be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society.

To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that."

Jeff Goldstein, at Protein Wisdom

"In Obama’s America, we’ll finally be able to break free of the 'constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution' — and in so doing, achieve 'social justice' through 'redistributive change.'

Well, then. Fine .

But this is not the America I knew…"

Indeed.

It's a nightmare scenario about to unfold!

And yet the Obamadroids, along with their tank Media Tag team partners, will yawn, ignore it, or change the subject when this is brought up.

Unbelievable!

Joe Guarino has more.

Here's how Obama WILL raise taxes on the middle class

......despite his misleading claims to the contrary.

From Ned Barnett, at The American Thinker, who examines the lies, distortions, and half truths The One is telling:

1. He will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire. However, in Obamaspeak, that doesn't qualify as a tax increase.

2. He will fail to freeze the cap at which Social Security taxes will be imposed. It will not rise up to the $250,000 limit Obama uses for demagoguery, but it will increase significantly from its current level.

3. He will raise the caapital gains tax significantly, well past the "20 percent" figure he uses, to a point approaching 30% or more. This will impact about HALF of US households.

4. The most insidious of all: He will raise taxes on businesses and, to confiscatory levels, oil companies. These costs will be passed on to everyone, but the burden will mainly fall on the middle class.

We won't begin to talk about the proposed elimination of the tax deductibilities of IRAs and 401Ks, and the forced participation in yet another government retirement Ponzi scheme.

We won't begin to talk about the worst taxes of all: the HUGE erosion of jobs lost to foolish economic Obamanations, and the resulting loss of equity to everyone.

We won't even begin to discuss the costs of an Obama national health plan, or an Obama plan to "fix' the non-existent "anthropogenic global warming" we're "experiencing".

We won't even begin to talk about the horror scenarios that "spreading around the wealth" engenders.

Of course, all this is in ADDITION to all the other threats and danger we're exposed to in non-economic ways because of an Obama presidency.

It's time we made it known that the American Presidency is NOT for sale

Let's spread the word far and wide.

Let's stop the corruption of this election, and show that the highest office in our nation cannot be bought by radicals with an agenda, hidden foreign interests and shady financiers.

Let's send Barack Obama back to the obscurity he so richly deserves as the junior senator from Illinois.

All tthe Messiah's horses, And all the Messiah's men

...Couldn't put Colin together again.

A journalist's lament

"So, when I say I’m deeply ashamed right now to be called a “journalist”, you can imagine just how deep that cuts into my soul."

More:

"But what really shattered my faith - and I know the day and place where it happened - was the War in Lebanon three summers ago. The hotel I was staying at in Windhoek, Namibia only carried CNN, a network I’d already learned to approach with skepticism. But this was CNN International, which is even worse. I sat there, first with my jaw hanging down, then actually shouting at the TV, as one field reporter after another reported the carnage of the Israeli attacks on Beirut, with almost no corresponding coverage of the Hezbollah missiles raining down on northern Israel. The reporting was so utterly and shamelessly biased that I sat there for hours watching, assuming that eventually CNNi would get around to telling the rest of the story . . .but it never happened.

But nothing, nothing I’ve seen has matched the media bias on display in the current Presidential campaign. Republicans are justifiably foaming at the mouth over the sheer one-sidedness of the press coverage of the two candidates and their running mates. But in the last few days, even Democrats, who have been gloating over the pass - no, make that shameless support - they’ve gotten from the press, are starting to get uncomfortable as they realize that no one wins in the long run when we don’t have a free and fair press. I was one of the first people in the traditional media to call for the firing of Dan Rather - not because of his phony story, but because he refused to admit his mistake - but, bless him, even Gunga Dan thinks the media is one-sided in this election."

Do you think things like this will have ANY impact on our so-called "journalist" Usual Suspects, locally as well as nationally?

Don't hold your breath.

Obama, the Con Man

That's the best explanation to explain his status as messiah and as The Anointed One.

Noteworthy:

"Some people who see the fraud in what Obama is saying are amazed that others do not. But Obama knows what con men have long known, that their job is not to convince skeptics but to enable the gullible to continue to believe what they want to believe. He does that very well."

Indeed he does...

Andy McCarthy on the Obama/Ayers/Khalidi connection

The Tank Media/Obama PR Agency gang somehow can't seem to find a way to spin this particular issue appropriately, so they just ignore it, hoping that nobody notices or cares.

Key point:

"Stanley (Kurtz) is ever the meticulous scholar — which is why it's so hysterical to read Obamaphiles try to paint him as a right-wing hack. He will go only as far as the hard evidence takes him, so, without speculating on where or when the Ayers/Obama relationship actually began, he deals with what we know for certain, which is that they had enough of a relationship to strike a significant business partnership in 1995.

As readers may recall, I think the relationship traces back years before 1995 — possibly in the Morningside Heights area in the early 80s (when Ayers had just come out of hiding and Obama was at Columbia ... years Obama refuses to discuss), and was almost certainly in place by the late 1980s in Chicago (when Obama and Ayers were both working on education reform and their wives were working at the same law firm). I've laid out my theory (which relies in part on common connections like Khalidi and Edward Said) in this article, called 'Why Won't Obama Talk About Columbia?'"

Why, indeed.

We ALL know why, don't we?

An Obama victory could well mark the Point of No Return for our nation

Mark Steyn tells us about it in his always distinctive way:

"Across the electric wires, the hum is ceaseless: Give it up, loser. Don’t go down with the ship when it’s swept away by the Obama tsunami. According to newspaper reports, polls show that most people believe newspaper reports claiming that most people believe polls showing that most people have read newspaper reports agreeing that polls show he’s going to win.

In the words of Publishers’ Clearing House, he may already have won! The battleground states have all turned blue, the reddest of red states are rapidly purpling. Don’t you know, little fool? You never can win. Use your mentality, wake up to reality. Why be the last right-wing pundit to sign up with Small-Government Conservatives For The Liberal Supermajority? We still need pages for the coronation, and there’s a pair of velvet knickerbockers with your name on it."

....and:

"Peggy Noonan thinks a President Obama will be like the dog who chases the car and finally catches it: Now what? I think Obama will be content to be King Barack the Benign, Spreader of Wealth and Healer of Planets. His rise is, in many ways, testament to the persistence of the monarchical urge even in a two-century old republic. So the “Now what?” questions will be answered by others, beginning with the liberal supermajority in Congress. And as he has done all his life he will take the path of least resistance. An Obama Administration will pitch America toward EU domestic policy and UN foreign policy. Thomas Sowell is right: It would be a “point of no return”, the most explicit repudiation of the animating principles of America. For a vigilant republic of limited government and self-reliant citizens, it would be a Declaration of Dependence."

Regarding the inevitability of Obama in his role of official media President-designate, Stephen Warshowsky begs to differ with the Tank Media/Dem/Lefty/"Progressive"Consensus on Political Inevitability.

Noteworthy:

"The point is simple: Don't believe the Obama hype coming out of the mainstream media. If the media were truly objective and unbiased, they would be covering the race much differently. Instead of trying to browbeat the country into voting for Obama, they would be analyzing the issues and factors that favor and disfavor both candidates. Instead of focusing on college students and intellectuals, they would be focusing on working-class and middle-class voters, especially 'Hillary Democrats.' These voters may very well determine the election. Yet this huge story is being ignored by the MSM.

Furthermore, the media would not so consistently confuse intensity of support for breadth of support. Granted, Barack Obama's supporters tend to be more enthusiastic about their candidate than John McCain's supporters are about him. Leftists are always looking for their earthly messiah. But this does not mean that Obama's supporters, come election day, will outnumber McCain's. Whether in support of McCain or in opposition to Obama, I predict these voters will go to the polls. Contrary to the wishful thinking of Democratic pundits, they are not staying home. These voters may be unexcited, but they are not apathetic. And 51% of 'unexcited' voters will defeat 49% of even the most 'inspired' voters. Every time."

Obama Attack Droid Road Rage

Sister Toldjah shares a story which is being seen in increasing numbers over the course of this election cycle.

Excerpt:

"In addition to a McCain-Palin sticker, I have an anti-Obama sticker on my bumper. It’s not ugly or nasty. It just reads “NOBAMA.” Charlotte is a liberal city, so you see more than your fair share of pro-Obama bumper stickers here, and I wanted to make it known to anyone who drives behind me or around me that I am most definitely not part of that camp. I’m sure there are people who get a little miffed when they see my stickers, as I do when I see theirs - but generally I look at the sticker, think “you’re making the wrong choice” and move on from it, not giving it another thought.

Last week, I was about a mile and a half away from my work and I was at a stoplight in the middle of a busy intersection. Two guys in an older model car pulled up behind mine. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the guy on the driver’s side raise his hands up in one of those “in your face” gestures and saw him mouth the name “Obama” two or three times with his hands in the air, almost like he was chanting. The light then turned green, and I proceeded to go forward, and the car behind me started tailing me. I mean, they were so close to my car that I could barely see any of the hood of their car. I was actually going just a little over the speed limit and slowed down a bit, trying to get them to back off but they got as close as they could get to my car without actually hitting it. Had I hit the breaks hard, they would have rammed the back of my car. This went on for about a mile or so before they made a sharp right turn onto a side street, tires squealing. I know both of those jerks were trying to intimidate me over my beliefs and it shook me up a bit - the audacity of it, mainly - but I shrugged it off as the day went on, thinking it was probably a one time thing.

This morning as I started out on my route to work, I was in one of two left turn lanes on one of the main streets here in Charlotte, and noticed a car pass by me in the other left lane that had an Obama-Biden bumper sticker. I looked away as I made my left turn, thinking “wrong choice, lady.” But I went on about my business and wasn’t going to think anything else of it, until the woman with the Obama sticker on her car started driving erratically and swerving back and forth from in front of me to the lane beside me. I had no idea why she was doing this at first, because there was no one in front of either of us and she could have easily gotten in her own lane and stayed there if she wanted to get ahead of me, but she didn’t. Whenever I would make an attempt to gain some speed she treated it as though I was trying to pass her (I wasn’t), and she’d speed up just a little. Then she’d dart in front of me again. The last time she darted in front of me she an I both ended up having to pull over into another lane as there was a police vehicle on the road that had stopped a car for whatever reason.

When she pulled back into the right lane to eventually make a right turn, I was in the left lane preparing to continue to go straight ahead. Do you know what this witch did to me? I looked over at her as many people will do to drivers who behave stupidly on the road, and as I was turning towards her, she rolled her window down, gave me a look that suggested she wanted to punch me in the mouth, and flipped me off. I know this was another attempt at political intimidation, because I had done nothing to provoke this. I never tried to race her, never tried to get in front of her, nothing. I minded my own business, but because I don’t support Barack Obama, I was targeted by a coward who probably would not have done that to me had we been standing in the same line to vote, because she wouldn’t be able to drive quickly away after making her cheap, nasty political attack.

My response to her was to flip her off in return, and utter a few choice words that I normally would never say. Luckily for her (and probably for me as well) my power window on my passenger side stopped working last week, so I couldn’t return the favor by rolling my window down so she could hear the choice words that came out of my mouth. She clearly wanted me to hear her but all I could see was the middle finger, and the look like she wanted to knock me out. She ended up turning right and I drove on straight on my route to work."

Stories like these are rampant. Mrs. Bubba has several to share from her experiences right here in Greensboro.

But as we all know, all these incidents are a result of the "hate" engendered from the McCain/Palin rhetoric, right? And all these Obamabots were "just exercising their free speech rights", don't you know?

So just how does Obama propose to pay for all his new programs?

The price of all his not-so little schemes tops out at better than 4.3 trillion bucks.

Noteworthy:

"In his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention on Aug. 28, Mr. Obama said, 'I've laid out how I'll pay for every dime -- by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens.' That comment refers to $924.1 billion over 10 years from what the TPC wisely labels 'unverifiable revenue raisers.'

To put that huge figure in perspective, the Congressional Budget Office optimistically expects a total of $3.7 trillion from corporate taxes over that period. In other words, Mr. Obama is counting on increasing corporate tax collections by more than 25% simply by closing 'loopholes' and complaining about foreign 'tax havens.'

Nobody, including the Tax Policy Center, believes that is remotely feasible. And Mr. Obama's dream of squeezing more revenue out of corporate profits, dividends and capital gains looks increasingly unbelievable now that profits are falling, banks have cut or eliminated dividends, and only a few short-sellers have any capital gains left to tax."

Let's see: If he can't get it from "closing loopholes", "tax havens", and increasing the taxes on the "ultra rich", WHO do you suppose he'll expect to cover the shortfall?

You get three guesses, and the first two don't count.......

Greg Mankiw: "May You Live In Interesting Times"

Or, as Mark Perry says. "What credit crisis?"

"Commercial loans are at an all-time high (data here) through October 8, consumer loans are at an all-time high through September (data here), and even real estate loans are at an all-time high through September (data here). Where's the credit crisis?"

Fear of an Obama win is the cause of the market turmoil

Mr. Market is not amused at the blatant lies, the goobldygook rhetoric on the economy, and the lack of comprehension from Barack Obama when it comes to economic considerations.

Excerpts:

"Is it really more plausible to suggest no effect whatsoever from a possible once-a-generation, political sea change, especially one that moves away from the winning economic formula of the past 25 years ? Not even a smidgen of worry? C'mon, now."

"
Hey, even potential Obama Treasury secretary Jamie Dimon thinks raising taxes right now is a goofy idea."

"
Look for Democrat proposals for a 'millionaire's surtax' on top of the higher rates from repeal of the Bush tax cuts in 2009."

"
Maybe investors fear that with perhaps a trillion-dollar budget gap ahead, revenue-hungry Dems will raise taxes further than Team Obama is suggesting—right into the teeth of a weak economy."

Nah, that sort of thing isn't happening, is it?

Regarding Sarah Palin's wardrobe

Dr. Sanity:

"Sexist jerks. Yeah, that's about right; and of course this oozes with the usual bigoted, class struggle talk Democrats like to bring up at every opportunity, which is why the NYTimes ran with this story on its front page--the better to stoke the fires of the marxist 'class struggle'. But, since Palin and her husband are solid middle class stock; and they happen to be the only couple in this campaign who are not millionaires; the left alternate between that template and the 'poor white trash' one. A conversation with an Obamabot campaign phone solicitor

Read about all the wondrous marvels President Messiah will give all of us for free.

Noteworthy:

"I don't know which is scarier: that the young man knew so little about the policies of the candidate for whom he had volunteered to work, that the young man's supervisor apparently knew little more, or that the talking heads say that young people like him could determine this election."

The Obama Way: Taxing your 401K

....plus, controlling where your money is invested, and other delightful little games, coming to a paycheck much like yours in just a jiffy if The One fools enough people into electing him President.

Key point:

"After all, what could possibly go wrong?"

Why nothing, of course.

And of course it's RACIST to think that something COULD go wrong.......

Should people who conspire to kill 25 million Americans years ago be considered "respectable" nowadays?

The Obamabots,Nutroots, Tank Media, and Dems/Lefties/"Progressives" of all varieties of quackowhackness certainly think so.

LGF:

"Former FBI informant Larry Grathwohl infiltrated the Weather Underground and helped prevent several bombing attacks by the group. In this clip from the 1982 documentary No Place to Hide, Grathwohl describes a Weather Underground meeting at which the terrorists discussed the need to murder at least 25 million people—those diehard American capitalists who would resist 'reeducation.'"

No big deal, right?

That's EXACTLY what Barry O'Bama wants you to think.

He's counting on it.

Obama's campaign finace fraud ignored

Is anyone seriously going to contend that these contributions are legit, and that Obama has not purposely circumvented legal requirements?

Noteworthy:

"Did Obama turn the security measures back on? Some say yes, but Flip Pidot says no.

Violation of Law: Until recently, The Criminal One didn't bother asking for proof of US citizenship (or even a swearing of US citizenship) from overseas donors.

Hillary and McCain did, of course. Because they were interested in following the law.

Obama wasn't. He didn't even bother alerting foreign nationals that it was illegal for them to contribute.

Wink."

And the Tank Media/Obama Campaign PR Team members couldn't be bothered to even notice this.

Why are we not surprised?

"Hate" and "Art", as defined by "Progressives"

Russ Douthat:

"Suffice it to say that if somebody showed up at a McCain-Palin rally with a poster depicting Barack Obama in this guise, I'm pretty sure nobody in the media would wax nostalgic about the 'classic' Republican street art of yore.

But of course, everybody knows that conservative hate - especially when it comes from anonymous hecklers at massive rallies, or when it involves booing the press - is fascism come round again, but left-wing hate is just, well, kitschy and adorable."

And of course, our Dem/Lefty/"Progressive" pals will rationalize it all away, I'm sure.

The dishonesty of Obama's tax proposed tax policies

Like most of the things Obama says, just doesn't add up.

Noteworthy:

"In all, three out of every five voters will pay little or nothing in income taxes under Mr. Obama's plans and gain when taxes rise on the 40% that already pays 95% of income tax revenues.

The plunder that the Democrats plan to extract from the "very rich" -- the 5% that earn more than $250,000 and who already pay 60% of the federal income tax bill -- will never stretch to cover the expansive programs Mr. Obama promises.

What next? A core group of Obama enthusiasts -- those educated professionals who applaud the "fairness" of their candidate's tax plans -- will soon see their $100,000-$150,000 incomes targeted. As entitlements expand and a self-interested majority votes, the higher tax brackets will kick in at lower levels down the ladder, all the way to households with a $75,000 income."

On the other hand, why should the slacker Obabmabot zombies care? They'll never reach that minimal level unless they hit some numbers, steal it, or miraculously inherit some wealth.

The other Obamabots aren't smart enough to figure it out.

Here's yet ANOTHER of the many ways an Obama presidency

....would take LOTS of money out of your pocket, regardless of who you are and regardless of your financial status.

Key point:

"Obama and EPA staff want to act without the consent of Congress. The mere act of designating CO2 as a dangerous pollutant may well trigger regulatory action under other provisions of the Clean Air Act--actions that would dwarf the Kyoto Protocol in their scale, scope, and cost. Onerous restrictions on energy use would likely result from EPA action on CO2. We could end up with a program of de-industrialization without Congress ever voting on it.

At time when the financial markets are crashing and a downturn in the economy looms, this plan will end free enterprise as we know it. It is bad for American taxpayers and a blow to democracy."

How much more information do we need to make voters understand the DISASTER that an Obama administration would create for this nation?

"30 years of 'Global Warming' go poof"

Ya think?

Noteworthy:

Don't believe the babble about "the election being over"?

You're not alone, and this piece tells you you're right on target.

Mary Katherine Ham:

"An interesting note about the poll's methodology:

A significant number of the interviews were conducted by dialing a randomly selected sample of cell phone numbers, and thus this poll had a chance to reach voters who were excluded from some other polls.

Cell-phone users are supposed to be left-leaning demographic historically missed by pollsters (though the vast unpolled cellular herd has never been vast enough to change the game on Election Day). Why would McCain be gaining in a poll with cell-phone users included, and if he is, isn't it exceedingly promising for the Republican candidate that the numbers are this close? Perhaps they're polling a disproportionate number of 'push-to-talk' Nextel users (read: Joe the Plumber and Tito the Construction Worker) and undersampling Sidekick users."

Slow Joe Biden does his part to undermine any Obama credibility on foreign affairs

Thanks for telling the truth, Joe. It fits right in with Hillary's Obama and the 3 AM phone call theme.

Excerpt:

"Well, golly, if Obama is so untested that we will have a series of international crises — at the very time we are in a financial meltdown — which will make the Cuban Missille Crisis look like a walk in the park, shouldn’t we vote for the other guy who will keep all the miscreants in their place?"

...and:

"Rudy Giuliani and Randy Scheunemann, McCain-Palin Foreign Policy Adviser, just completed a media call on the Joe Biden comments. Scheunemann invoked Michael Kinsley — a gaffe is when a politician is caught speaking the truth. Giuliani dubbed the remarks 'extraordinary' and said that he never recalled a VP candidate announcing that electing his candidate would provoke multiple challeneges to test his mettle. Giuliani suggested that Biden must 'continue to harbor serious doubts' about Barack Obama’s readiness to be commander-in-chief."

Everyone continues to harbor serious doubts, Rudy, save for the arrogant, the elites, the ignorant, and the naive that comprise the Obamabot Crew.

Lex Alexander is out of control

Alexander is a staff reporter with the News and Record. He has exhibited poor judgment and questionable integrity, a conclusion based on numerous past experiences and re-enforced by this most recent example.

He put up this post Saturday in which he suggested that Republicans encouraged the situation involving Joe Killian at the Palin rally Thursday, and further suggests that Republicans would be responsible for violence against a presidential candidate:

"And maybe I’m paranoid, but when supporters of one political movement get angry and desperate enough to start assaulting journalists, it makes me unhappily certain that things have gotten bad enough that there’s someone out there waiting for his chance to take a shot, quite literally, at the leader of the other side."

That is absolutely and unequivocally over the line of decency.

I call upon John Robinson, Alexander's editor in chief at the News and Record, to publicly repudiate Alexander's remarks.

In case Alexander deletes the comment I left on his disgusting slime of a thread, I will repeat it here:

Quoting Alexander:

'And it is the kind of thing that the rhetoric of the McCain/Palin campaign has encouraged.'

My response:

"Garbage.

Absolute, utter garbage.

But it’s just what we would expect from you.

Your comment and my reply will be posted at Noteworthy."

An illuminating story about the veracity of those presidential polling numbers

Just a note to our Dem/Lefty/"Progressive" pals: Don't start the victory party just yet.

Noteworthy:

"I say all of this because this pollster conveyed strong concern about their standing going into the homestretch. They are very concerned about winning the vote of the middle class and whole swaths of the electorate they consider the "unkowns." In fact, and based on her conversation with this internal pollster for Obama, he's not ahead in the polls as we're being told. He's at best tied.

Look, take it for what it is. But what I know is that we're being sold a bill of goods by the media. Why? Not to be conspiratorial, but they likely just want to dispirit us, precisely because Obama has yet to seal the deal. He should be way ahead this season, but he's not."

And we all know what the reaction is going to be if Mr. Messiah loses, don't we?

Another example of the failure of Universal Health Care

Hawaii drops its Universal Health Care program for kids.

Why?

"Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

'People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services.'"

Imagine that!

The return of the Unfairness Doctrine

....coming soon to a media outlet near you, assuming Obama fools enough people into electing him president.

Noteworthy:

"To quote one of the Democratic Party's apparatchiks back then, Bill Ruder: 'Our massive strategy was to use the Fairness Doctrine to challenge and harass the right-wing broadcasters, and hope that the challenges would be so costly to them that they would be inhibited and decide it was too costly to continue.'"

What do you want to bet that this new and improved version of the Unfairness Doctrine will always contain a de facto exemption for any broadcast whose content smacks of the Libthink agenda?

Here's another way for Dems to steal votes

Taking advantage of an easy mark......what a concept!

Noteworthy:

"Jack Justice has been voting since he turned 18. Typically his family takes him to their neighborhood precinct. This time Primus Industries, his adult day rehab program, took him to vote. His family was shocked, but what shocked them more was that Jack claims that his aide commandeered his vote.

'They told me to vote for Obama, I said no I wanted to vote for McCain,' said Jack Justice, a voter.

Jack Justice says the person helping him, selected Obama's name. His sister says the family is often asked to sign a permission slips for trips, but for this they were never notified.

'No permission slips, no nothing, he just came home and said he had gone,' said Nancy Justice, Jack's sister."

Video

The Dems must have run out of cemetery residents earlier than normal this year.

Could have fooled me, Joe........

McCain volunteer attacked and injured by Obama supporter

Gee......we didn't read about this little item in the Daily Kos, in the Greensboro News and Record, or on a News and Record blog, or at a News and Record employee's personal blog, did we?

It must have no substance whatsoever, right?

I mean, it wasn't like the victim was an innocent "member of the press", was it?

Excerpt:

"While the Democrat-leaning media continues to scare undecided voters with bedtime stories about some mythical angry McCain supporter whom nobody has seen, here is a real district attorney’s complaint documenting an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: 'Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain.'

The names have been redacted out of respect for people’s privacy

The overly formal document doesn’t mention this important detail: the victim was a small, quiet, middle-aged woman wearing glasses, and the attacker was a loud, angry man who went into orbit at the mere sight of McCain campaign signs."

Obama on Social Security: "I won't raise the retirement age, and I won't cut benefits"

So just what IS your "workable solution" to ensure adequate funding of the Social Security program, Senator?

Andrew Biggs:

"There's a big mathematical hole in Sen. Obama's plans for Social Security. While Obama is vague about the exact tax rate he would apply to people earning over $250,000 and whether they would receive extra benefits in exchange for the new taxes, a best-case scenario is that Obama's plan would fix around 15% of the long-term deficit, adding 3-5 years to the life of the trust fund."

Ah, c'mon Mr. Biggs.

Don't you know a messiah can perform miracles like raising people from the dead?

Certainly, some little trick like raising Social Security from the dead is well within reason, isn't it?

Evidence points to Ayers being a co-author of Obama book

Check out these style and substance comparisons.

It's no coincidence.

Noteworthy:

"The question is often asked why Obama associated with Ayers. The more appropriate question is why the powerful Ayers would associate with the then obscure Obama. Before Obama's ascendancy, it was Ayers who had the connections, the clout, and the street cred. Ayers could also write and write very well. By the mid-1990s he had had several of his books published. What Ayers could never do, however, was run for office on his own.

My suspicion is that Ayers saw the potential in Obama, and chose to mold it. The calculation in Dreams is palpable. Nothing about the book would deny a black Democrat the White House. If it were revealed that the ghostwriter is Ayers, it would suggest that Ayers has played a major role all along in the shaping of Barack Obama. It is unlikely that the McCain camp would have invested so much energy in establishing the Ayers-Obama link if they did not think this was the case.

At the end of the day, the observer is left with only two conclusions: either Barack Obama experienced a quantum surge in his writing skills almost overnight; or someone made a major contribution to the rewriting of his book.

The dispassionate observer has to choose the latter -- the former has no precedent. If he can endure the consequences, he concedes that that contributor had to be Bill Ayers."

"Just a guy who lives in my neighborhood", my ass.

The relationship is significant, it reflects on Obama's immaturity and poor judgment, and it needs to be made widely known.

Could Osama undo Obama?

Could be, according to this.

Excerpt:

"The public thinks Democrats do better on economic issues, and the financial crisis erased the bounce in the polls that John McCain received from the Republican convention. After the second presidential debate, Mr Obama widened his lead, but dangers remain.

Polls show that Republicans do better on the issue of terrorism. Last June, McCain adviser Charlie Black was reprimanded for having the temerity to point out that the intrusion of a terrorist event into the campaign would 'certainly be a big advantage' for Mr McCain. Mr Black may have been politically incorrect but an objective analysis suggests he might be right."

I don't buy it.

An Obama presidency would send an unmistakable message to radical Islamist terrorists of all stripes that the heat is off, and that acts of terror can largely go forward with impunity, thereby empowering their despicable cause. Obama poses no physical or emotional threat to these low lifes.

I don't think the terrorists are so stupid to blow their chance to potentially make strong headway if Obama is elected. A McCain win would eliminate that possibility.

So when is this sort of deal coming to the Triad?

Heading toward the two buck level......

And we think $3.28 is a bargain here.....but look again.

Looks like it may be under two fifty here by Thanksgiving.

Kruggman, as Bizzaro the Nobel Pseudo Economist

Bizzaro Krugman, our new Nobel winner, hasn't changed his doom and gloom nonsense, as noted by Robert Higgs.

Excerpt:

"For economists who would like the Nobel Prize to mean something, today is a very sad day. Besides making a travesty of the prize, Krugman’s selection constitutes an insult to the few excellent economists (I am thinking especially of F. A. Hayek and James Buchanan) who have received the prize in the past."

Here are some of the lies Obama told during last night's debate

And they were HUGE, regarding Ayers/ACORN, and the Born Alive legislation.

Noteworthy:

"Unfortunately for Obama, those are the facts, both about Ayers and ACORN. Obama paid ACORN over $800,000 this summer for GOTV efforts, which Obama now denies, although he did finally admit that he represented ACORN as an attorney in a lending-practices case."

...and:

"Obama voted against the bill that would have protected infants born alive even after the “neutrality clause” he demanded was added to protect abortion in Illinois. That is the truth in this case, and Obama lied last night to the American people in an attempt to hide his radical position on abortion."

Obama's so-called "Christian faith"

From Part 1:

"The ruse that he is a Christian must be exposed for what it really is: Obama's cloak to conceal that he is a Marxist from a Muslim background, for which he holds widespread support in the Islamic world. This series of three articles will analyze his exploitation of Christian rhetoric to serve the subterfuge."

Take the time to read all three parts linked.

Part 1:

Noteworthy:

"For two decades Obama was indeed a member of a 'church' in Chicago, but its Marxist 'theology' of Black Power, its affinities with the Nation of Islam, and having the raving malevolent Jeremiah Wright as his "spiritual mentor" make Obama's claim to be a Christian less than credible.

Confirming that Obama's 'deep faith' is not Christian has been his denial that Jesus Christ is Lord of all and the supreme revelation from God for all humankind, and its corollary, his admitted skepticism about an afterlife.

The reality of Jesus' resurrection from the dead is the most basic confession of the Christian faith and has been affirmed by all Christians since the first generation as God's revelation of life everlasting.[10] Christians call upon the name of Jesus as the crucified and risen Lord whom God vindicated to become the Savior of all peoples and to give believers eternal life. This hope is so integral to the Christian faith that the apostle Paul reasoned that conversely if resurrection is not the destiny of those who belong to the risen Christ, then Christ himself is dead, the faith has no content, and believers are not reconciled to God. 'If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all."'[11] Inherent in Jesus' teaching and the Christian hope is also the Jewish expectation of God's judgment of all persons, that beyond this life divine justice will reward the good and punish those who do evil.(12)"

.Part 2:

Noteworthy:

"In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches against making a public show of praying, as pretenders do to be seen as pious; instead, pray privately and God who sees in secret will reward you.[10] But when Obama made his pre-election victory tour to the Holy Land in July, at Jerusalem he made a political display of his 'piety.' The Obama campaign desecrated the Western Wall -- Judaism's most sacred site -- with an entourage of supporters displaying his banner and signs.[11] Mimicking the practice of devout Jews, Obama placed in a crack of the wall a slip of paper containing a humble prayer he had hand-written; on stationary of the King David Hotel the messianic candidate had asked God to make him an instrument of his will.[12] We know the prayer's 'private' contents because it was a campaign prop, and its discovery was staged for public consumption.

The initial report was that a Jewish seminary student stole the prayer from the wall and gave it to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, which then published a closeup of the note next to a photo of the candidate placing it in the wall. In the blogosphere Leftists collectively tore their garments asunder, appalled by the sacrilege committed against Barack Obama, a man of 'social justice' who is also 'a devout Christian.' His humble act of prayer had been violated; his piety, a victim of shameless media exploitation. Is nothing sacred?

The offense of publishing the note was potentially criminal, and sources from the newspaper Maariv confessed that before the messianic candidate went to the wall the Obama campaign had already given the newspaper a copy of his "secret prayer." Israel's most popular daily, Yediot Ahoronot, likewise received a copy of the prayer but chose not to publish it.[13] The prayer was 'stolen' by an Obama supporter[14] (videotaped with his entourage) as a ploy for making its contents public, with Barry the pious victim. Maariv has since rescinded its original claim that it received a copy directly from the campaign, and both papers turned silent on the matter. Under pressure? Given Obama's pattern of deception, the most plausible scenario is that the campaign stunt was to impress voters of his piety - another of Obama's many ruses.[15] Verily, the pretender has received his reward."

Part 3

Noteworthy:

"For his presidential campaign the mythmaker has re-invented himself once again, with strategist David Axelrod as the source of his teleprompted scripts. Having no achievements qualifying him for the nation's highest office is offset by Obama's legendary insight and judgment as one of profound spirituality. Obama fancies himself a thinker of deep thoughts, a channeler of collective consciousness, an oracle of prophetic utterance. Four years ago he said:

...the most powerful political moments for me come when I feel like my actions are aligned with a certain truth. I can feel it. When I'm talking to a group and I'm saying something truthful, I can feel a power that comes out of those statements that is different than when I'm just being glib or clever. . . .

I think it's the power of the recognition of God, or the recognition of a larger truth that is being shared between me and an audience. That's something you learn watching ministers, quite a bit. What they call the Holy Spirit.... there are moments that happen within a sermon where the minister gets out of his ego and is speaking from a deeper source. And it's powerful.[19]

It is unknown whether the following oracles were from a deeper source or channeled through the teleprompter. Reportedly the prophecies were repeated in multiple locations; two samples are quoted here. These occurred in January 2008, as Christians celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany, commemorating that the light of a star appeared over Bethlehem; to the magi this light attested Jesus' messianic birth.[20] Being filled with power and true to himself, Obama prophesied that his rhetoric will be so effective that voters will believe in his anointing:

At some point in the evening, a light is going to shine down and you will have an epiphany and you'll say, "I have to vote for Barack."[21]

... a light will shine down from somewhere. It will light upon you. You will experience an epiphany. And you will say to yourself, "I have to vote for Barack. I have to do it."[22]

This verbiage echoes also the Book of Acts' accounts of Paul's conversion, where the disbelieving Pharisee is overwhelmed by the presence of light, the risen Jesus identifies himself, and Paul realizes that this is the Messiah.[23]"
